QUOTE (Porty @ Jul 28 2007, 06:54 PM)
Calm down. It's not done yet.

http://www.tgcom.mediaset.it/controcampo/a...olo372806.shtml

TGcom says Leonardo is flying to Brazil Monday to talk with Pato's parents and offer a 2M/euros per year contract. They say his mother would like him to be near Kaka', such a religious player.

It seems that Milan already agreed with Internacional a deal about 20M/euros for Pato. Now it's up to Leonardo to convince the player and his parents.

He'd come only in January.

Wasn't he supposed to fly to Brazil on Friday!?...

Anyway, I'm sure Milan will not have any problems with Inter on financial details. it's only the player's choice. I hope it is Milan.

Hopefully we see that sweet official announcement before January. as long as I see the confirmation of signing Pato, I don't care if he comes right now or two years from now! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

I'm pretty sure if we do sign him, it'll be announced this summer, rather than January. Hopefully..

Pato's father said some ours ago:

"There are no offers for him, but if they appear... it's up to Alexandre to decide.
"One thing is clear: he's not going to Europe to be on the reserves or any kind of experience.
"He's going there to play."

Well, in Milan... with Inzaghi (34) and Ronaldo (31)... he'll get time to play soon I believe. Even knowing we could get another foward and Gilardino is 25.

He'll get more time at Milan than either Inter or Madrid. Madrid have alot of young guys on their team, as well as the likes of Raul/RvN. We all know about Inters striker situation. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Are Milan retreating from their offer?!!

Yesterday Carletto said that we are not interested in him right now and now his father says there no offers!

It worries me...

Pato only has eyes for Milan (Sunday 29 July, 2007)

Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid have targeted Alexandre Pato, but the young Brazilian says he only has eyes for “fantastic” Milan.

The Under-20 sensation is lighting up the transfer market and has already been labelled the new Kaka at the age of 17.

“Milan are flying over to Brazil to sign me? That is fantastic,” he told Spanish newspaper ‘As’ and several Brazilian media.

“I won’t be meeting with their emissaries unless Internacional and my agent Gilmar Veloz give me the go ahead. All I can do is wait and hope.”

It’s reported that on Monday consultant Leonardo will fly to Porto Alegre for negotiations with his club Internacional.

This weekend Coach Carlo Ancelotti stated that Pato would most likely arrive in January, as by that stage he would have turned 18.

The offer Milan have prepared is said to be in the region of £14m to beat competition from rivals Inter, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

It would be a similar scenario to the capture of Kaka in 2003, when Leonardo also acted as their representative to broker the deal.

In fact, Kaka’s presence is an important factor for Pato, as his family is very religious and wants to ensure there is a positive role model when he flies to Europe alone.

Pato will be given a five-year contract starting out at £800,000 per season, rising to £1.3m by 2011-12.

Hopefully we'll wrap this business up this week and have him in the bag. He could come on immediately and make an impact. Hopefully Milan will give him an immediate active role in the squad.

Moratti today spoke about Pato.

He said he's still an option for Inter and he's one of the 5-6 top young-guns around.

As you can see in the video, the kid asked Galliani: "So, what's the big transfer? Pato or Ronaldinho?"

Galliani: "More chances on the first one [Pato] than the second [Ronaldinho]."

Well, TBH I just posted the video because of that girl next-to Galliani. What a lucky b*stard.
