I think your caoch has no idea on how to motivate and help players progress.

When you're in the same group as Argentina, and they announce a full strength squad, you do NOT take 20 young players. You've let 7 goals in, in 2 games, and the confidence of these players is going to be at zero when they get back home.

his "reasoning" was that most of our veterans have experienced these atmospheres already. we've played a lot of friendlies in south america and our veterans already know what it's like.

our coach's reasoning for taking this young squad was because this was the future of our team and most of these guys are experiencing their first national team games.

our coach used our veterans for the CONCACAF tournament because winning that gets us an automatic bid for the Confederations Cup. Which will also be a great chance for our players to get some good playing experience.

whether or not i agree with him 100% is a different story. i wanted our veterans to go so we could actually compete with these guys. but if our young players can get experience from this, then maybe, i guess, it's worth it.

If the coach's reasoning for priorotising the Gold Cup over the Copa America is to get a bid at the Confederations Cup, he needs to be replaced, immediately.

There's no way the best players of the US NT are going to get any player by only competing in the Gold Cup and friendlies, while they yet their youngsters get slaughtered in the Copa.

Lalala. The Merda players at the Copa are dropping like flies. First Maicon is ruled out with the shoulder problem and now Crespo is out with some sort of leg injury. Maybe Carlito Tevez will actually get a start now.

i don't think he needs to be replaced, i think all of it was just really bad timing...it also doesn't help that the MLS is going on at the same time.

Brazil had Chile in group, and now will play against them in Quarter Final, than Venezuela vs. Uruguay were in the same group too.

So now, Mexico 1st in their group could face Argentina, and Brazil 2nd faces Chile 3rd.

I think it's very difficult for them to work out a tournement with there being such a small amount of teams. In Europe we have about 60 or something, so it's much easier for us. I think South America has about 11 countries? Some of whom are very, very small and may not even have a team.
