Dunga Comments On Kaká And Ronaldinho Attitude

Brazil Coach Dunga has spoken of his feelings about the fact that both Kaká and Ronaldinho Gaúcho have turned up for the friendlies against England and Turkey but are bowing out of the upcoming Copa América

Soon after the Brazil playing and coaching squad disembarked in London, Dunga answered a series of questions related to the presence of Kaká and Ronaldinho in the squad for the early June friendlies against England (Wembley) and Turkey (Dortmund).

Some have said that the only reason for Kaká and Ronaldinho entering the friendly list is economic.  The organisers have denied that they insisted that both players were fielded in order to cough up the cash for the CBF, but they could never, ever admit to such a scam.

After the controversy kicked up when Ronaldo was fielded in the 1998 World Cup final hours after suffering what Roberto Carlos described as a fit in his room that would be taboo.  At the time Nike were accused of forcing the-then top-drawer marketing machine to play in any state.

Dunga toed the line and didn’t make any reference to being, shall we say, 'encouraged' to bring the stars along.  He did, however, make it clear that if he were in their shoes he would play the Copa América – albeit underlining that the players’ wishes have to be respected.

“Of course, like any other Brazilian I'd love to see all of our stars in Venezuela, but I have talked with both players at length and they have made decisions which must be respected”, he said before stressing. “I myself never turned down a call-up. Each one to his own, but there must be an acceptance of responsibility.”

This was a clear message to Kaká, who was left annoyed that the CBF published his letter on their (embarrassing, free and threadbare) website, Dunga defending the decision to post it on the web sent down by sulphurous CBF boss Ricardo Teixeira.

“Everybody has to tale responsibility for what they do and this is not the first time that such letters have appeared on the CBF site”, the Coach retorted. Dunga nevertheless praised the players for their performances.

“Kaká, from what I have seen, is likely to be elected World Player and Ronaldinho is not out of the running either, so both deserve to be here for the friendlies.” Kaká made a point of telling reporters at the airport that “I will talk with him (Dunga) about why I asked for leave, and even show him the statistical reports from Milan that suggested I needed rest.”

Real interest flatters Kaka

Milan star Kaka has admitted that, although he is flattered by Real Madrid’s interest in him, he is happy to remain at the San Siro.

The Rossonero has once again been paired with the Merengues and reports in Spain on Wednesday suggest that Madrid are ready to offer £43m to convince Milan to let go of their prized asset.

“I can only be honoured to hear that a club like Real Madrid are interested in me and it’s something that happened last year as well,” said Kaka in an interview to the Spanish newspaper AS.

“However I have to make one thing clear. I have just won the Champions League with Milan and my family and I are very happy there,” added the 25-year-old, who is in London for Brazil’s friendly with England at Wembley on Friday.

“For that reason, the only way anything will happen is if Milan finalise an agreement with Real Madrid.”

Kaka would reportedly accept a move, but does not want to be involved in any transfer wars as he wishes to maintain his great relationship with Milan and their fans.

According to AS, the Merengues might include Emerson in their offer in order to lower the price, as Coach Carlo Ancelotti recently said that he would be a valuable asset for the Rossoneri

He know what could happen to him if he goes there. And with Ronnie whspering things in hs ear of how terrible it is at the white house I have no doubt in my mind that Kaka is smart enough to make the right decisions

I don't think he is. Ronaldo said before that he enjoyed playing in Madrid and the problems came only after Capello arrival.

I personally think that he did pass on some unstellar reviews on to Ricky  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

And he has even said that he is 100% sure that Ricky will not leave for Real. Now we won't ever know what is said between them, but I think because of the bitter way he left he might have said things to Ricky.

And also the Real fans never really appreciated Ronaldo, I even remeber when he had just went there as probably the BEST player in the world during that time and when he was presented the golden ball in the Bernabue some of the fans where booing him.

Things were never great between Real and him. I'm sure of this.

Real Madrid fans have probably got to be some of the most ungrateful sons of b!tches there are in the world.

Club before country for Kaka

Milan star Kaka has noted that winning the Champions League was more exciting than Brazil’s 2002 World Cup triumph.

The Rossoneri claimed their seventh European Cup with a 2-1 win over Liverpool in Athens and the playmaker insists it was a victory he will never forget.

“I was only 20 when Brazil won the 2002 World Cup and everybody knows that the role I had then was more to watch and learn,” he told uefa.com.

“This doesn’t mean that things were less thrilling by the time we lifted the trophy, but I was taken over with a different feeling last week in Athens.

“My participation was much more involved this time around.”

Milan were crowned European champions thanks to a Pippo Inzaghi brace in a tight game with few chances.

“I was really confident we could win the Final and things only got better after we scored the first goal,” added the South American.

“I must admit that there were always those little thoughts about things going wrong like in 2005, but when Inzaghi scored the second, I knew a repeat of Istanbul would not happen.”

Kaka has now basically won all there is to win domestically and in Europe, but he insists he’s still hungry for more victories.

“I have won three of the world’s most prestigious competitions now, but I still think there are a lot of things to chase,” he outlined.

“Winning trophies is what motivates me and I am looking forward to the next challenge,” added the 25-year-old.

“This UEFA Champions League, however, will always have a special place in my heart for the extra honour of ending up as the tournament's top scorer.”
