Players don't look for CL titles so much, I don't think so anyways.

Liverpool in that case, would be able to buy all of the worlds great, they have the history, they have the money.

Liverpools downside is where they are from, nodody wants to go play in the north, which is why Chelsea get the pick of the players.

Juventus don't have many CL titles, but alot of players still pick them over us.

Exactly. So the fact that Real have won 3 CLs over a 50 year period means nothing. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

For god sake kurt.

Liverpool "have the money"? Oh, yes... 6 months ago they got the dollars (Hicks and Gillett), but on the last 10 years? No money. At least not to be competitive to the 1st place in England. From now on... maybe.

Chelsea is nothing. They pick the players they want not because of the city, or the weather but the money they have. They = Abramovich... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Juventus? Pick them over us? Nah, but over many other clubs yes. Why? Because Juventus is owned by Agnelli family. Nowadays it's Elkann, not Agnelli but it's the same roots.
Do you know what that mean? The Ferrari, Maserati, FIAT, Alfa Romeo, Lancia... all that group? They own Juventus too. They've a lot of it ($$$).

Just like Berlusconi group own us.

It's not just CL it's also money, prestige... and the overall perception that they are the greatest club in the world

Liverpool spent £40million at the start of last season, without their American owners.

And have spent near £100m over the last 3 and a half years. Liverpool have got it all, and always have. Alot of players have turned them down, or spent a season and wanted out because they hate the city. Mortientes is the most recent guy to do that.

Even though Arsenal are almost pennyless, haven't come close to getting the history of Liverpool. They have it all because they're from London.

If you don't live in England, you don't see the pulling power the city has. When London comes in for something 99% of the time it gets it.

They spend more than 50M-euros last season? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Where? In Pennant? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

No they don't have and you know it. They didn't have like 30M-euros to spend on a midfielder like Carrick or 45M on a Shevchenko.

Liverpool didn't have the same revenue that Onighted had (don't win a EPL for long) and David Moores didn't have much money to put on the club.

That's why you look at them and everbody says "With 3 world-class players they can be as good as Chelsea."

But they didn't have that $$$ to buy those 3. Benitez said that some days ago. This summer with the Americans, I hope they spend big.

Kaka Dismisses Real Madrid Links: I Owe Milan

AC Milan play-maker Kaka has dismissed reports of a move to Real Madrid, insisting that he owes the Rossoneri.

Kaka has repeatedly been linked with a move to Real Madrid, often having been quoted as saying that he would be happy to move should Los Merengues agree a fee with Milan.

A summer swoop has been predicted, particularly with the player aldo admitting that he has dreamt of playing for Real Madrid ever since he was a child.

However, the Champions League win seems to have made a big difference, as the midfielder has now pledged allegiance to AC Milan.

"I feel myself at ease over here," he said. "I owe a lot to this club and I have a contract with them running until 2011.

"I don’t think there is much else to say."

He has been the star of Milan's successful season - thanks mainly to their Champions League heroics - and seems to be set to bring the Ballon d'Or back to the Rossoneri after Shevchenko won it three season ago

Liverpool haven't spent enough to challenge for the title?

Nobody has spent the amount Chelsea have, but I'll compare to the current Champions, Man United.

Money spent since Abramovic bought Chelsea:

03/04 Season:
Liverpool: £28m - Cisse (£14m), Kewell (£7m) & Finnan (£4m)
United: £49.5m - Bellion (£2m), Djembe-Djembe (£3.5), Howard (£2m), Kleberson (£6m), Ronaldo (£12m), Saha (£12m), Smith (£7m) & Heinze (£7m)

04/05 Season:
Liverpool: £26.5m - Alonso (£10.5m), Josemi (£2m), Luis Garcia (£6m), Morientes (£7m) & Carson (£2m)
UnitedL £20m - Rooney (£20m)

05/06 Season:
Liverpool: £38m - Reina (£6m), Gonzalez (£5m), Sissoko (£6m), Crouch (£7m), Agger (£6m), Bellamy (£6m) & Paletta (£2m)
United: £17.5m - Park (£4m), Foster (£1m), Vidic (£7m) & Evra (£5.5m)

This Season:
Liverpool: £18.6m - Pennant (£7m), Kuyt (£9m) & Arbeloa (£2.6m)
United: £18.6m - Carrick (£18.6m)

Totals:
Liverpool: £111.1m
United: £105.6m (Not to mentioned the £40m they made off Becks and Veron)

Liverpool have spent as much as United over recent years, money's not a problem to them.

http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/...llo/998850.html

Marca says that Kaka' could have played the last match as a Milan player in Athens.

Well, I believe it's just a question of time (Madrid-Kaka') but I think it's more like in 2011... 2012. At the moment I think it's pathetic to think that.

I mean, no key player leaves THE European Champions.
*

Marca will just about say anything to kiss Real Madrid's @ss (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I personally don't see Kaka leaving Milan, at least not until he's 30/31 and alreasdy given his best years to this club.

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ May 28 2007, 08:28 AM)
I just don't know why Kaka wants to go to Real while he can stay here and become a true legend. Of course he is not leaving anytime soon, but from what he has said, he will probably only stay with us until the end of his contract and he has said numerous times that he would like to one day for Real as it is every player's dream... I hate it when he says that!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
*

I believe that 85% of the 'quotes' (and I use that term loosely) they get from Kaka are made up the other ones that they do actually get out of him, they misquote him and play around with the words he says to make it sound like something else.

Kaka has repeatedly said that he and his family are happy with their life in the city, he's happy playing for the club, and know that we are European champions he has anopther accomplishment down.

Atm going to Madrid from Milan is trading down, everybody knows this Kaka is not stupis.

Imo Kaka is as tired of responding to his supposed quotes of undying love to Real and constant rumours of him going there as we are of hearing them.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about Kaka moving. Not now and I don't think it will happen in 5 years either.

These here are the key words. It's obvious that he's tried of responding to this baseless rumour. He said a million times that he wants to stay and he will do just that.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he renewed his contract again at the start of the season

Where's the £30M for Rio? Oh that was in 2002. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

And you put only Carrick and Rooney but they didn't buy only that those years.

Rio was bought a few years before Roman came in.

No, they didn't only buy those players that year. Some of the transfers are in the wrong year, the site I took the info from places some transfers in the season before (As they were singed before a certain date)

United signed a few free transfer players like Van Der Sar. Regardless, Liverpool clearly spend enough money to challenge for the title, as shows by those figures.

I think it's also clear we disagree on this, so let's just agree to disagree or this could go on for decades. Truce Porty. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Isn't Liverpool sponsored by Adidas? So... "impossible is nothing". (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Seriously, everything can happen. The English papers are saying Torres, Alves and Gabriel Milito are their targets for this summer... I dunno - all I know is that those 3 are world-class players that Liverpool miss to be at the same level as Chelsea.
