Look, I don't know how you guys feel, but I've always felt (and I think someone posted a similar thing on this forum) that Dida hasn't been the same after the flare incident against the merda. Sort of like what happened to Ali and Frazier after their

I was the one that pointed this out and I fully agree with you. There is definately a difference in him.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I can't buy laugh at this again. Not that it's not possible but it's freaking funny. IMO it was no big deal, he was just subtituted in order to check on it...

It wasn't such a big deal, but I think there was some kind of mental trauma that he suffered.

Look back to his performances before and after the incident. Jack is right, I think he was effected by it.

we're talking '04-'05 right? Well from what I can remember he still had a great season even after that incident. I think Dida never really believed or trusted in his abilities and also it seems to me like he couldn't handle much pressure. Thus in the game against Giuve that season at the San Siro, the game that would hand the Scudetto to the winner, he was shaky and one week later, in Istanbul, he had one of his worse games ever with the Milan shirt.

Then in the '06-'07 season he started very well but when the pressure towards him was again increased around Christmas time, with all that talk that he would have to prove he's worth Brazil's No.1 and that the WC of 2006 would be his last chance to feature in a WC he started making blunders again and I recall the game against the Merda when we were under great pressure cause they would catch us in the table with a win where he screwed it up more than once...

To me it's more like the age factor, the fact that he's not been as recognized as he should for what he's offered to the team, his inability to handle the pressure, his wife sleeping with me and other stuff.

I really can't believe it was such a traumatic experience... then again I wouldn't know. If I had to link his performances with a certain game it would be the Istanbul final.

Personally I had not considered Dida the culprit for our 2 conceded goals until now. It is a shame he didn't manage to save the 2nd one but the first was pretty hard to save and on both occasions, I do feel that it was hte defences fualt for not having cleared the ball, especially with the second goal, someone should have just hoofed it clear. He still looks pretty safe otherwise and tbh I find him quite reassuring to have at the back. Unless Buffon turns up we're as well to keep him, a decision that seems to have already been made judging by his new contract, so we might as well get used to him sticking around.

You know what?

Shot happens!!

Of course it was the defence's fault to leave Van Buyten unmarked and of course the ball should have been cleared before that but from the moment a shot is taken it's the keeper's responsibility to protect the goal and Dida failed to do so miserably in Bayern's second!

In that logic... it's Gourcuff's fault for committing a foul in the midfield or maybe Kaka's for passing the ball to him... or... we'll end up blaming God for creating man!

It takes a series of mistakes for a goal to be scored and when a keeper could have save it but didn't he's as much responsible as everyone else. Not more but not less either... It's equally everybody's fault, it's just so happens that the keeper's fault strikes so much in the memory and eyes that he ends up being made the scapegoat!

On the contrary I'm the first one to point out the mistakes and criticize our defenders! Cause I can seem them before they make them! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I just said it was everyone's fault. The first goal, even if Nesta had been red carded before that, it would make no difference. It's as if he wasn't there...
