Milan Channel, the official channel dedicated to A.C. Milan, has announced that it has created a channel dedicated to YouTube. It will be the first Italian television channel to have signed up an agreement with YouTube.
The address at www.youtube.com/milanchannel will be available throughout the world in a special version of Milan Channel. There will be daily news clips, special clips, exclusive videos and "Milan Classic" content in both Italian and English.
Viewers will have the opportunity to interact with each other through polls, by commenting on the content and sending their favourite videos to their friends. They will also be able to contact Milan Channel to give their views on the videos.
'We are honoured to be the first Italian channel to cooperate with YouTube,' said Milan Channel President Riccardo Silva. 'Milan has confirmed once again that is it the most followed themed channel for a football club in Italy, with 55,000 subscribers on Sky and throughout the world. Thanks to numerous international distribution agreements, Milan Channel programming is transmitted on 23 foreign channels which incooperate 48 countries in the world. The presence on YouTube, whose community boosts hundreds of thousands of videos watched every day, will also widen the world audience for Milan Channel through the internet.'
