We have a better squad than Real and Lyon, but yeah, the other 3 teams you mentioned are far superior than us this season.
*

they are better in terms of names, but you never know its football and we are MILAN.
I think we can win CHL with a bit of luck. I mean thats all we can win and maybe last years unluckiness will turn and be luckiness this year

Even if Oliveira stays... we don't have a chance this year. We just had luck on the group stage (to draw with some mediocre teams).

Just look at our squad (the whole squad not only the attack) and compare it to Inter, Barcelona (+refs), Chelsea, Real, Lyon, etc.  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE (Warchant @ Jan 31 2007, 12:54 AM)
does anyone honestly think that we have a chance of winning the CL this year? i would want to try and fight for our spot in next years tournament than worry about winning this one.
*

No I don't think we have a chance of winning it; but we should at least be able to reach the last 4 .. Cuz, that is how Milan has been for the past 5 yrs, always in the top 4 ! I don't want Celtic to knock Milan out, neither do I want Chelsea or anyother team who would want a shot at beating Milan (at it's weakest!) ..

That is why I will be furious with Galliani if he agrees to send Oli elsewhere

Next yrs CL, we have R9 now and a new fullback .. So I doubt we'll struggle in the league .. We'll make it next yr (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

There is no reason why we can't make a run at the champions league.

However it will be much easier with the aid of oli, so hopefully he stays.

Also we finally have a starting back four which has some stability as well as dida back.

Only have to score once and then defend like hell. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Oli went on loan and thats very stupid. We let the pure-class of Oli to leave us when we need him the most in CHL. Somebody would say he scored only 4 goals but he needs time and we NEED him.
I'm so unhappy about that but I think Galliani wanted Ronaldo at all costs and sacrified Oli for that deal.
Galliani also disappointed me with his comments regarding all the process of Ronaldo - at the begenning he said "We will buy Ronaldo only if he's free"..... than he offered them 5m euros.....than 7million.....and at the end 8 millin + Oli for 6 months. too stupid
*

that was a plan to reduce the price. wen we offered 11M in the summer they rejected it. and later ronaldo wanted to leave n milan wanted him for somthin less. thats y galliani said that.

abt ronaldos transfer, i really think he will do well. and by the way wats his no? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

R9 .. even at 30 yrs old .. and overweight .. He would be worth (my evaluation) close to 20M Sterling .. Cuz he is one of a kind, there will never be another R9.

I dont know if you watched him scoring the only goal this season after a lot of months for Real. It was PURE..... PURE-CLASS. He stoped the ball like magnet and finished like the real Il Fenômeno.

Without a question he's still a class act.

If he is motivated as he says he is and gets his fitness up to scratch, he could just run riot if our midfield is on song.

He had his moments in the worldcup where you could see flashes of his former brilliance.

The commentary following the ronaldo rocket against japan in the world cup - "When you shoot like that.. you don't have to move" (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Galliani backs ‘motivated’ Roni

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani believes that new signing Ronaldo still has the motivation to play at the top level.

The Brazilian finally landed in Milan on Tuesday evening and will immediately start training with the rest of the team after the Rossoneri and Real Madrid agreed a £5m transfer.

“We are pleased with this signing. He will start his preparation on Wednesday morning, beginning his new life as a Milan player,” said Galliani to Milan Channel.

“Roni is very motivated and that is proved by the fact that he could have earned much more by moving to another country, but he didn’t choose the easy way.

“He really wants to do well. Hopefully, he will return to being Ronaldo – the Fenomeno we all know.”

Reports have suggested that Milan striker Ricardo Oliveira has also been included in the deal, as Real Madrid asked for the player to join them on a loan deal.

“I can’t deny that we have discussed the possibility of a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, but I don’t think this will take place,” Galliani insisted. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

“I can only say that it is exciting to have Ronaldo here, because of who he is, for all he has done and because he has written his own page in the history of football.

“He has scored many goals in Madrid and Real have officially thanked him for that. He is a star and I am really pleased with his arrival, as well as the signing of Massimo Oddo.”

The Rossonero does not fear the fans’ reactions, as Ronaldo returns to Milan after wearing city rivals Inter’s shirt from 1997 to 2002.

“It looks like Milan can finally lift their head after what happened in the summer. I am sure that Ronaldo will be greeted by our supporters.

“Intelligent people know that after five years a player can change, this happens to many players every year,” concluded Galliani.

Finalmente Ronaldo 'A Milano per farvi sognare'. Primo giorno a Milanello.

It seems Real and Galliani didn't find a deal for Oliveira and so he will stay with us. Fingers crossed...
