Ronaldo Closer To AC Milan?

It seems that all the official denials are merely a smokescreen for Ronaldo to return to San Siro with red instead of blue accompanying the black stripes on his shirt.

The player’s agent, Fabiano Farah, took a last-minute flight to Italy today with the aim of brining the Rossoneri and the Fenômeno closer together.

He’ll be meeting with Milan negotiator Ernesto Bronzzetti according to Spanish daily ‘As’ (Ace) in an attempt to close the signing of the number 9 that Capello wants out of Madrid.

Farah has had a rapid series of trips as he landed in Madrid from Rio de Janeiro yesterday morning and met with his client at the Valdebebas training facilities.

The player knows that he has the Al-Ittihad option in reserve but is also keen to join a club capable of allowing him to experience the joy of winning the trophy he yearns for but is eluding him: the Champions League.

After the meeting the agent went straight to the airport and direct to Milan in a clear sign that R9’s preferences lie I a return to Italy rather than an Arabian adventure.

The stumbling block is that both Adriano Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi are still unsure of whether to bet on the wayward Brazilian or steer clear after the Rivaldo debacle.

Galliani was clear in declarations made to Italian sports daily ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’: "Ronaldo? There’s a 98% chance we won’t sign him but we’re still open to developments even though right now it’s not time to talk of Ronaldo."

Ronaldo accepts Milan offer

Ronaldo is on the verge of leaving Real Madrid after agreeing financial terms with Milan, according to reports in Italy.

The Brazilian is ready to leave the Spanish giants and his agent Fabiano Farah met Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani on Tuesday.

Farah has now flown back to Spain where he is scheduled to speak with Merengues sporting director Predrag Mijatovic about a transfer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have offered the former Golden Ball winner a £4m per season contract, plus his entire image rights worth a lucrative £8m a year – which Ronaldo currently shares with Real.

The Rossoneri were initially interested in a loan deal, but have reportedly now decided to make a move to sign the player on a permanent basis until 2008.

Ronaldo is also a reported target for Flamengo, Arabian club Al-Ittihad and the MLS, but he seems interested in playing for one more important European club before ending his career elsewhere.

In the meantime, Real chief Ramon Calderon has renewed his threat of netting Milan star Kaka next summer.

“If I will still be the President in June, it is very likely that Kaka will join this club,” said the official while meeting a group of students on Tuesday.

Isn't it funny that 6 months ago we were willing to offer like a transfer fee of 22 mil for ronaldo and now it looks like 4 mil is going to get accepted.

Although prob different currency, at least we avoided getting royally ***** in the transfer fee.

And a 30yo has been will solve them...

Would Arsenal sign a 30yo Ronaldo? Because I thought we were trying to be like Arsenal! To me it looks like we're doing the total opposite. Firstly we sign a young 30yo Storari and now another young 30yo Ronaldo (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Keeps the average age up I suppose (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hey Hey (My My) !! Calm down now would you?? There's no way Kaka is going down the other way!!

And Stolari is a good deal... why should we get Amelia?? First of all you think he'd want to come here to be Dida's sub?? The kid wants to play football!! He will only come as a first choice thus you won't see him as long as Dida is at Milan!

Chill out dude! Who said it would be an exchange b/w Kaka and R9, Kojak said we can get him under certain conditions and it's 300% sure that the conditions are about Kaka!

In the other hand, we got that 30 yo keeper cause Kalac got injured and is out for 1 or 2 months, this GK isn't a first choice he's meant to be a second GK, and be sure that if we didn't made a move for Amelia we're going to sign Buffon in the summer if Dida don't renew, witch I personally doubt!

About R9 you can see him as a has been or a Fatnaldo but just think for a second, With the Pippo situation (he's not scoring and he wants to be in the starting 11or he'll leave!) and the fact that tons of Arabian and American clubs want him makes the deal interesting, see if he doesn’t get back to a decent form we can off load him for a very good price, I'm pretty sure that a lots of clubs out there will take him even if he's fat and score only 3 goals per season!

And just for your consideration, Milan have just made an official offer for Pato (17 yo) and signed Grimi (21 yo) plus we have Yohann (20 yo), that's 3 promising youngsters (defense, midfield and attack), so I think this a good start for us being "like Arsenal", and by the way if you think we're gone have a full squad of youngsters just look how Arsenal is struggling and you'll get quick answer of what it means!

OK guys, it's a done deal.

When in the official website it appears a new of Galliani talking about Ronaldo... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE
ADRIANO GALLIANI SU RONALDO

17/01/2007

With the image-rights he'll get 11M/euros per season.

The only thing that is missing is the "YES" from R.Madrid.
