I think we have to wait another 10 years to finally get a replacement for Shevchenko ...

Gunnar Nordahl 221
Andriy Shevchenko 173
Gianni Rivera 164
José Altafini 161
Aldo Boffi 136
Marco Van Basten 124
Giuseppe Santagostino 106
Pierino Prati 102
Louis Van Hege 98
Alberto Bigon 90
Nils Liedholm 89
Renzo Burini 88
Filippo Inzaghi (*) 78
Pietro Paolo Virdis 76
Marco Simone 75
Aldo Cevenini I 73
Pietro Sante Arcari 70
Daniele Massaro 70
Giovanni Moretti 68

Look at the list of all time goal scorers ... come on, he'll be a legend once he retires ... I know many may not agree just bcoz of his decision to move ... but we must not forget that he played 7 years for Ac Milan ... and he doesn't deserve to be called a traitor ...

maybe he left after 7 years because of his number 7 on his jersey (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)   if only we gave him the number 11 instead

I was reading one of NHL (hockey) forums (Los Angeles Kings) and I found a topic where they were talkingabout Beckams move to their city. Offcourse in this forum are people from all over the world who love hockey and one of them is also one Italian guy who is actually also huge Milan fan (he has a season ticket for Milan for over 20 years) and the word somehow got to Shevchenko.
I quote wat they were talking:

Nah, not threatened...that's way to much.

Shevchenko's wife is american and wanted to raise their son in England or US so he can learn to speak english, this is what Andryi said when he asked to be traded. But the rumor was around even before the request became official, so it happened that a couple fans who met her downtown Milan weren't very kind with her, but they only said "You B1tch, you're taking him away from Milan"...

This is the official version of why Shevchenko wanted to leave Milan. But there's another rumor going around here in the past few months, and I have a friend of mine who works in the fashion world who confirmed it. Btw, Sheva is a very close friend of Armani (They opened together a shop in Kiev), and the legend says Kirsten one day found his husband sleeping with an Armani's model (a guy). So she forced him to move to London or she would have told the media about it. Honestly I don't give a S about this story, I'm only disappointed with Andryi for leaving the way he did.

He could have said "Hey, he (Abrahmovich) will give me a ton of Euro and I want to play for another team". I wouldn't be happy as well, but still better than "My wife is the boss and I have to do what she wants". It's not that in Milan there'are not international schools to teach english to your kids...

I would not be shocked if they were talking abot a woman in Shevas bed but a guy (don't get me wrong - I have nothing against gey people). (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
This story about sleeping around with other people and the threat that she would have told the media about it, kind of explain why Sheva a couple of months before he left looked worried, tense (remember when he was sostituted) and out of nowhere started to confirm that he might leave Milan. I think that when he said that he wants to become like Maldini and end his carier in Milan he was telling the truth, but after that if wife caught him cheating everything suddenly changed and he was truly forced to move (to get away from his lover and wifenot telling the media).

Hleb Questions Shevchenko Decision

Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb believes Andriy Shevchenko should not have joined Chelsea in the summer.

The 30-year-old former Milan star has struggled at Stamford Bridge after scoring on his debut against Liverpool in the Community Shield.

Hleb told The Sun: "I would never have risked coming to England towards the end of my career. The older you get, the harder it gets.

"I was never convinced he would be able to play in England. I don't have anything against him. I respect him and rate him as a player.

"The problem lies in the style of the English league, in terms of the tempo and the time you get to think on the pitch.

"The Italian and English leagues are two very different propositions. And the younger a player is, the easier it is for him to adapt and get to grips with English football.

"There has been talk that Mourinho and Shevchenko have not found a common language.

"In my case, Arsene Wenger's role in helping me establish myself as a first-team regular was invaluable."

Hmmm I think these 'homosexual' conspiracy is abit farfetched..

Haha nothing like kicking a man even more while he's down..

I'm on the bandwagon who feel sorry to see such a great player falling..

it's not farfetched,
I'm sure there are some gay football players, but they hide it, because their career would be ruined...
that would explain sheva's not scoring abilities.

yaya, just think I'm some crazy girl LOL
