QUOTE (milanista1899 @ Jan 9 2007, 09:16 PM) Why, Is Alexis a right back? (That's where Darmian plays isn't it?) We might need him if we don't get Oddo! I think Darmian is a CB...

QUOTE (dst @ Jan 9 2007, 11:09 AM) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Milan abandon Oddo moveTuesday 9 January, 2007Adriano Galliani and Lazio patron Claudio Lotito confess that Massimo Oddo is nowhere near completing his San Siro switch. “The negotiations for Oddo are high and dry,†conceded Milan transfer guru Galliani this evening. “There are still a few million between our offer and the request put forward by the Biancocelesti.†All three parties involved have made it absolutely clear that talks are on for a January move up north, with the right-back confirming he is eager to join the Rossoneri. However, the sticking point remains Lazio’s valuation of the 30-year-old World Cup winner. “I have never sold anyone on the cheap,†added Olimpico club President Lotito on Radio Radio. “Milan asked us if we would talk about Oddo. Considering the player’s request that he make this move because he started his career in the Rossoneri youth system, Lazio agreed to see if there is the possibility of making his wish true.†Yet negotiations have not gone well and recent meetings between the directors have been disappointing. “We are friendly with Galliani, but nobody will force us to do anything we don’t want to, nor can then prevent us from taking action we see fit,†added Lotito. “If we have the right conditions, then we will complete Oddo’s transfer. If not, then we won’t.†Meanwhile, another Milan target seems to have hit the skids, as Ronaldo’s agent says he has no idea whether Real Madrid have offered him up for sale. “We haven’t heard anything about these rumours,†insisted Reynaldo Pitta. “I don’t know if there is any truth in them or not, but what we do know is that Real Madrid haven’t informed us of this situation.†channel4.com--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah another priceless transfer market from our pathetic management. Making big statements and being too cheap to put their money where their mouth is. Galliani will probably come out and say We are fine in defense. We know have Abuya(who only scored one goal against Serie B Juventus). He will be fine for our strikeforce. Another sign that Galliani has dementia and should seek psychiatric help. If I was a major investor I would be calling for Galliani's throat and bring in someone who can win something and get the right players.

QUOTE We know have Abuya(who only scored one goal against Serie B Juventus) I must disagree here. (Darn you dst u twisted my mind so much with that likeness thing, I feel obliged to defend Willy everywhere). So how many games has Willy played for the Milan Seniors? Not a lot. He's played in the Primavera and he's kicked major butt. Now I really don't see why people have a problem with him making a switch to the bigger league. And as for Galliani saying stuff, look Milan might act like cheapskates;(and I'm tired of reminding people...for the first time in a looong time , implying there is some reason for this. You think Galliani woke up last season and decided I'm gonna pilfer funds??!!) but...and I quote the consummate philosopher Al Pacino here...Milan's 'a scary judge of talent'. By the way if we'd adopted the policy of considering our Primaveras as a step below ....golly gee we woulda seen Paolo playing for Inter. They're dumb yes, but not retarded. Oh and while I'm at it...it's Aubameyang. Call him Willy if you like (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

That we want to see Primavera’s make it in the first team? But fact is, he has no experience what so ever in playing in the big stage, if we want him to bring him up then great it’s good to see home grown talent in the squad, but don’t pass him up as being our next big signing because we’re too cheap to buy a striker that has experience and is proven to a kid that only scored a goal in a meaningless friendly match. Imo that is just trying to fool the fans. When Galliani let Sheva leave even though he still had 4 years left to play out in his contract he PROMISED the fans that he would be replaced with and equal. And the fact is that he hasn’t been replaced. Yes we got Oli and I am one who has faith in him. La Liga fans who watched Oli play with Sevilla and Betis all said that he was a great striker some even said he is better then Torres. But he still isn’t a Sheva equal, and with all the stuff he had to go through it’s made it twice as hard for him to adapt. Fact is we absolutely NEED another forward, whether it is Cassano or any other player I don’t care, but we need someone else, and feeding us this bull that Willy will be our next sign in and therefore we don’t need anyone else is a slap on the face to the fans, that want Milan to do well and most of all but up a fight in both the league and the CL. But with the team we have I don’t see this happening.

Catania (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I understand what you mean by requesting a WC striker, but look if just Oli and Pippo get back to their known form (Gila seems tobe already there) it will be a great thing, we can reach that 4th place and make a very good performance in the CL! All I'm saying is we don't really need a WC striker in january since we're going for a big name in the summer (Eto'o, Torres or even R10). What is a must now is a RB!

Even though it seems like we're going to get some big name in the summer I still believe we should get Suazo now. Pippo will be as useful as Borriello has ever been next year so normally we will have one forward less... and what if Suazo is what we need in the end?? I don't think he's much worse than Eto'o -- the man we're reportedly after -- who will cost a lot of money. Note: Not that money is/should be an issue for Milan but you know... it's always an excuse... especially as long as Uncle Fester's in... I think we need 3 very good forwards not 4, that place is for someone like Obemayang not Suazo or Oliviera! QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Jan 11 2007, 12:41 PM) If it is ONLY Grimi and Oddo .. Then Milan hasn't done much and most likely, we'll have enough to reach 4th place, IF the team is on top form and Kaka isn't injured! But if these two would be the only players Milan aquires this Jan and Milan plays as it did in the first part of the season ... Bye bye Kaka. Hello Serie B!Forget it (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

---------------------------------------------------------------- Lazio: Oddo not for saleFriday 12 January, 2007Lazio chief Claudio Lotito has continued to maintain that Milan target Massimo Oddo is not for sale. The defender is a confirmed target for the Rossoneri even if Vice-President Adriano Galliani confessed on Tuesday that the two parties were far from reaching an agreement. “Lazio have never put Oddo on sale, therefore it is useless to talk about figures,†said the capital chief before entering the Lega Calcio offices in Milan on Friday. “His contract expires in 2008 and that is it. Of course, if he wanted to leave, and this is an option from what I read, we would not block him. We would only need the right offer to let him go.†The 30-year-old started his career in Milan’s youth team and he has reiterated that he would be happy to join the Rossoneri again. “Oddo might want to leave, but I would also like to be the President of the Republic. Things aren’t always that easy,†noted Lotito. “We do not need the money, so I don’t want to talk about that aspect. The problem is that we would need to replace him from a technical point of view. We need everyone’s will to solve this issue.†Galliani confirmed that the two clubs have not reached an agreement over a fee, although new meetings are scheduled for next week. “We spoke this morning, but there is still a gap between what we are offering and Lazio’s request,†said the official on the Gazzetta dello Sport’s website. “We will meet next week to discuss it again. What will happen? I don’t know – I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic. “Let’s say that our chances of signing Oddo are 50-50. If he doesn’t arrive then we will not make any other moves on the market,†ended Galliani. channel4.com----------------------------------------------------------------
