Even when we were in form, Empoli transfer was always difficult (last year we won 3-1 after loosing 1-0 and in the 2004 when we won scudetto we won 1-0 with a late but straordinary gol from long range by Kaka). Imagine now.

Told you so. In Italy there aren't any easy games (in this kind of form that we are right now, it's even more difficult). As for Galliani. WHAT THE HELL ARE SOME OF YOU TALKING ABOUT! He will never be fired from Milan - are you crazy. Don Silvio, him and Braida are a package and as long Berlusca is the owner of Milan, Galliani will NEVER be sacked. And believe me guys - they are all worried more then all of us with this situation. Personally I like Galliani - he is the first fan of Milan - as for transfers - we don't know what's going on behind the scenes, what are Berluscas orders and so on. In sport there are up and downs. This staff in 20 years has ''delivered'' us many victories and there were also some bad moments (naturally). Remember late 90'? Not really, ha - because then came 2003 and CL, then scudetto... It will be the same this time. Remember guys - up and down! We are down, so it only can go up!

FORZA MILAN!!!

I'm just looking at our complete squad in the official website...

-7 or 8 oldies, who are def' not the same as before. In 1 or 2 years they're over.

-Then 3 or 4 simply "non-Milan quality" like Kalac, Borriello or Brocchi (he can be performing good but he's just no player for Milan.

I mean. There's no "Ronaldinho and Sneijder" or "Lippi" who's going to solve this. We need 7/8 new, young/middle age, and quality players.

I know, this sounds crazy (Porto, you want Milan to buy 10 players in January+June?), but yes, it's the only way we can get back to success in short term.

For now, we've a non-top, poor, slow and non-motivated team.

@Porto ..

Yep, it's quite clear that an over-haul is needed, but that wont be anytime soon .. Next June .. In the winter, I'm expecting one or two fresh players to help with rotation, but the squad will remain.

I agree with you, even about the bit where you said it would be crazy to get all those players in January+June. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

But all those you mentioned above are all facts. Changing coaches now would be the big mistake, and trying to solve whatever problems we have by bringing in Ronaldinho, and making him out to be our next saviour, is complete stupidity.

An overhaul is needed (maybe not all in just 1 or 2 transfer windows, like you said) but it is needed.

Players like Cafu, Billy, Serginho, maybe even Paolo and Pippo will all be gone come next season or the one after that. Boriello should be shipped off, so should Kalac, Fiori should just retire now, enough is enough. Ambro, as much as I like him, there needs to be some sort of solution for his situation, playing 1 game and getting injured for another month is not being able to say we have a good back-up in him. Brocchi I think has proved himself to be the most reliable to fill in Rino's place.

With all those dipartures our management will not only need to make transfers and changes but they will have to. They have been putting off these issues for the last 4 years, now they will al come together at once. I know our management have been in charge for these last 20 years and they know what they are doing but it would have been much wiser to make this transaction slowly over the course of a few years rather then just all at once. Now the team rebuilding would just have to start all over again from the beginning

You like dramatize, do you (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ? But your punch line is true...As I did often count the average age of our year, and of the team together, you pointed out the clear difficulties of our team.

But, when it comes to "Milan" or "non-Milan quality" players, I must say...Klac and Borriello should be out for ever, but Brocchi should stay. He is kind of irritating, but he really should, he is a solid backup. You can`t just expect Milan having for ex. Gattuso for DM and Emerson to be his backup. The problem is, I don`t see any sign of youth in our squad, on our bench or an the playground (exept Gourcuff). And thats really a big big issue. Every top team has some potential stars or future talents, but Milan lack`s of them. Where is Lino? Loaned out...Where are our Primaveras? OMG, we need someone...

I mean, this is really frustrating. For me, even more than the transfer policy. Cause I know that Milan has a lot of cash and our reputation is just shaken, but not in question, and that eventually some "Sneijder"(overrated I say once more... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ) will land. But where are the homemade players?

The problem is, at the moment we lack of both, the Chelsea style - buy off everyone you can (youth and stars/quality -- like Sheva, Majkel, Kalou,...) and the Barcelona style - mix of choosen stars (Eto`o, Ronaldinho,...) and homemade players (Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Oleguer) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ! That makes us very vulnerable and compliant.

The changes in the team, the pretty well known "generation slide", that often shows the difference from an good and an excellent team, should have been treated with more relevance and solved two or even three years ago. Guess the lethargy and the euphoria of the late successes made the board a bit blind and slowed them down.

I really do pray for us, and the board, to find guidance (if needed, from above also (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) ), to solve this problem in a normal way (Thank God our board has some dignity and did not deal with this problem like Barac did a couple of years ago - just releasing legends like Sergi, Abelardo, Guardiola, etc.)...
