QUOTE (I_Rossoneri @ Nov 18 2006, 08:10 PM) Lippi might play boring football but he gets results and at the moment that is what we're lacking!!! It's not about the boring football, it' about the fact that I really don't value him as a GREAT coach, as some make him out to be. Let's not forget, all his scudetti he won where under Moggi, only one CL after 4 finals and a WC that was just meant to be Italies from the very beginning, not because of some genius masterminded plan he came up with. The only one I want to replace Carlo (IF THAT HAPPENS) then that would be Rijkaard, no one else!

Why ohh why !?!?!?!?! What is happening to my team (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) From Kings of Europe to this .. I dont know what to call it .. The team is tiered .. !! There is no more luck .. !! Something needs to change .. !! This isn't Milan .. Too much injuries .. My worst worry isn't now !!! It's when Kaka gets injured .. How will we play ?! Gilardino (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) At least Oli is trying .. But what the f@ck is he doing !!!! Inzaghi ?! I cant say anything about .. Cuz the pressure has definately mounted now ! Against Empoli !!! Though I got to admit, they defended superbly as all the other teams we faced did .. Kaka, Seedorf, Pirlo all tried to reach our strikers .. One way or another, but Gila was totally out of it. Sure he broke his duck, but what good has it done for the team ?! Doesnt change anything !

(IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Don Fabio only won one CL out of three as well, does that make him bad?

QUOTE Ancelotti curses unlucky streak
Carlo Ancelotti claims he saw improvements in Milan’s performance at Empoli, but that bad luck continues to strike his team.
“In my opinion, the side played fairly well and we didn’t allow our opponents any real scoring opportunities,†he said after the 0-0 draw at the Stadio Castellani.
“It was overall a small step forward and in the second half we could’ve done better upfront, but a draw is an acceptable result.â€
The Rossoneri are having real problems hitting the back of the net this season and once again found the woodwork instead.
In the first half alone, Ricardo Oliveira struck the frame of the goal twice – first the crossbar and then the far upright.
“These were two very important incidents, because our unlucky streak continues. We hit the woodwork twice again today and at the moment the results are not reflecting our performances. This was certainly an improvement on the 2-0 defeat at Atalanta,†added Ancelotti.
“We were more focused and balanced in the middle of the park, especially against a fast-paced team. We didn’t allow them many counter-attacks and that was the key issue, so we can find some positives in this draw.â€
Empoli boss Gigi Cagni agreed that Lady Luck had smiled on his men at the Stadio Castellani this evening.
“It was a great performance from my men and it’s doubly satisfying because we deserved it. Of course, we had a bit of luck, but you also make your own luck in this world,†said the Coach.
“Igli Vannucchi is a player of great talent who has made a lifestyle choice in acting as leader for Empoli, an example for our younger squad members to look up to. I’m optimistic we can avoid relegation, even if we must maintain our trademark aggression and pace.†Football Italia

QUOTE (han2503 @ Nov 18 2006, 08:14 PM) Brocchi isn't such a good ball winner, maybe now because of pirlo's AWFUL form he is shining a bit because of his lobs and passes (which are better then Rino's) but he doesn't even come close to Rino's ability at winning balls, and with both Seedorf and Pirlo in the midfield Rino fits in better. Pirlo was being played in a flat 4-4-2 in the WC, he had THREE defensive mids covering his @ss all the time. And let's not forget that just simply 'pushing him further up' will not change anything, the only thing that will help us out is pirlo regaining the form he showed in the WC, nothing else, not changing his position. If changing the position was the answer, then how do you explain the way he was playing before in the same role?? I think that it's simply down to terrible form on his part. Seedorf, has his ups and downs, sometimes he can be amazing others he only walks around on the pitch, but I think he has been our best amongst the crop of players we have at the moment in their sh!tty form. Pirlo had two DM's behind him, not three! And all I'm saying is that if he gets the ball further up the field he is capable of doing more. At the moment he picks the ball up from the back four and is immediately swamped with players trying to close him down, whereas in the WC he was afforded more time as he was getting the ball around the halfway line.

I'm sick and tired of all this "we always have bad luck" I'm of the opinion that you make you're own luck in life. You can't keep blaming bad results on bad luck all the time - that is just trying to cover one's own failings.

I'm with u 100% on this one, but the logic behind this is to keep the moral of the players up as well as the fans .. Since he cant do anything till January, if he is to do anything ! Do u honestly expect him to say anything other than that ?? Do u expect a, 'we dont have enough players to rotate or the players that guarantee us 20 plus goals, or the players that keep the team fresh ' ?! Seriouslly, I think it is common knowledge .. And he knows where the problems reside in the team that he has worked with over the years ! He knows that deep down inside, we can play good, but not enough to make the difference and bring in 3 points. I'm sure January will be a Milan shopping spree .. We definately need some fullbacks with fresh legs for width and a striker that knows where the goal is.

Not to mention the beutiful football plus the results. Imo Rijkaard is the best option for us, DEFINATELY not lippi. QUOTE (I_Rossoneri @ Nov 18 2006, 08:40 PM) Pirlo had two DM's behind him, not three! And all I'm saying is that if he gets the ball further up the field he is capable of doing more. At the moment he picks the ball up from the back four and is immediately swamped with players trying to close him down, whereas in the WC he was afforded more time as he was getting the ball around the halfway line. Pirlo sometime even had tre DM's, Rino, Perrotta and De Rossi when he was not suspended. When Carlo plays Rino and Brocchi or Rino and Ambro together to free up Pirlo, we all whine that we can't play to DMs in midfield, when we only play 1 DM we whine about wanting Pirlo to be freed up. QUOTE gilardino is a diver. gilardino cant run. gilardino cant dribble. gilardino cries after every ref decision. gilardino needed sheva and kaka servicing him to score. gilardino is ****. and we paid 25 million for this guy?look at his goals last season. almost all of them are 1 on 1s with the goalie or tap ins. If you are seriously putting the blame on our loss on Gila's performance to day then I really don't know what to say to you, except that you are seriously irrational because you are being blinded by your dislike for him!! Gila is a BOX STRIKER he is NOT a seconda punta or a winger/forward!!! He shouldn't be the one dropping deep in the midfield and making plays and dribbles. Why can't anyone seem to get this through his head??? When we bought him everyone knew what sort of striker he was, I really can't understand why everyone is expecting him to become our next Ven Basten or Weah or Sheva!!!! Do you see Juve fans whining about wanting Trez to drop deep and create play? or Real fans wanting that sort of thing from Van Nistelroy?? Box strinkers live on the last line of defence, they live on the through balls from midfield and crosses from the flanks, but nothing is working for us right now!!! Yes he had a bad game today, but calling him does things is crossing the line, Pippo didn't do anything either, because HE WASN'T GETTING EDIQUIT SERVICE, again why is that? It's because he's a box striker that waits for things to happen for him, in order to score the goal, that's what box strkers do!!!
