Kaka's performance was what won the game..It was great in the face of the Inter defeat.

We haven't really been tested in this CL though. Anderlecht is one of the weaker teams in the 32 list. Our group is the weakest.

We didn't really play that great of a game. They dominated possession in the second half. They almost scored 3-4 times, luck was with us.

Gila scored his 1st which was great and he did get the penalty for us, but for the rest of the time he wasn't really involved, he just stood in front of the box.

We let them have possession in the first half cheaply, yes. But i think everyone relaxed after the third goal instead of continued to play. I'm pretty sure they won't do that against a big team.

About what you said of Gila, note the term 'box striker' because that's what he is and that's what box strikers do.

Well try to tell that to some people who think that no one even comes close to R10.

I think the golden ball should deservedly go to Kaka this year, end of.

If it goes to R10 again, then we'll know what a joke they have become also

About Ancelotti's comments....

The key is looking at our schedule versus Barcelona's. The true test is on the pitch.

The only real teams we've played this season have been Palermo and Inter Milan. We got beat by both of them. Our CL group is the weakest.

Barcelona have played Chelsea twice, Bremen, Real Madrid, Sevilla twice, and Valencia. Their CL group is the most difficult of them all.

Dinho has had to take on defenses 20 times more difficult then the ones we've faced and managed 5 goals in 7 games in Spain and 1 goal in the CL but against the toughest group.

I love Kaka and admire him more but I still think the true test is against better teams and he hasn't been as dominate as Dinho in the face of them.

Dinho also scored a couple of cheap penalties in the league also, not to mention that Serie is tougher defensively, much more then La Liga.

Yes Barca's group is the toughest, but Dinho wasn't spectactular in any of the matches, he scored a good goal in the opening match against Levski, but that's pretty much it and that assist to gudjhonson in Nou Camp, but he was clueless at the bridge and had a bad game against Bremen in the other match.

And yes we have had the easiest of passages, but Milan NEVER start strongly, last season in the beginning we where also consistantly help by teams, even weaker then Palermo, Inter also beat us in the first fixture.

It's all a matter of form and when it is that you pick it up. Picking up form in the early stages of the season is not good, because then you'll die down early, picking up form in the middle of the season is better so that you could last longer, especially in the CL, like we do every season

So you think its justified to not get involved because by definition thats what box strikers do. RVN, Trez, and Crespo are box strikers but they create plays and make more chances for other players.

IMO I still think Gila has a lot to prove to wear that Milan jersey and so far I don't think he's earned it. I think Scheva was a huge force in creating chances for him last season.
He doesn't work well with our offense.

Ok I can't believe I'm getting sucke into this agin but here it goes.

Gila was getting involved in the play, didn't you see that, he made Kaka's assist also, And when exactly do RVN and Trez create chances??

One of the reasons a lot of people here backed Gila up was because of his ability to make plays and assists for others.

He might not have been picking up the ball and running from midfield buit he was getting involved.

Why can't people just be happy that he is scoring and getting back into form again, and not nit picking on everything he does??

True, Dinho has had some penalties but so has Kaka and many other major goal scorers.

Barcelona was in form pretty much throughout the entire season last year through the CL and Liga. So was Chelsea, Bayern, Lyon, and other major teams. In the CL, anything can happen when you play Milan or Barcelona.

The past doesn't prove the future. We did much better last season in the scudetto at this time than last year. The key is our forwards coming around or reinforcements and our key defensive members being injury free.

Whether Gila should be in a Milan jersey is debatable.

To disagree is not a bad thing.

For me, he brings down the quality of our offense. RVN, and Trezgt score goals consistently, this is what Gila has to do to win my approval.

Oliveira set up Kaka's 2nd. Kaka created the third goal. Penalty was the first.

Cafu set up Kaka's second.

Gila played a one two with kaka for his thirf

Gila won the penalty.

What I meant to say when you mentioned RVN and Trez in their as players who 'make plays' I had to disagree with you, because as I said all they do is wait for the ball to come to them, Gila at least get's more involved and makes more assists, which is something those 2 you mentioned (or any other box striker for that matter) rarely do.

He is doing it because someone's got to do it! When Sheva was here, he was doing it! Then they did it together... Then Sheva left and Kaka will have to find a new magician partner! There is nothing wrong with this IMO... And our other players are finding their form too... And did I mention Gourcuff? Just give the kid two more games and see what magic he can do... 3 or 4 of his 5 goals in Spain are converted penalties ... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He scored his goal in CL against Levski Sofia ... a much greater team than Anderlecht !! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Then how about the WC ?? The played in the same team and against the same defences ... or am I wrong ??

this is a joke ... it's like when Seedorf passed to him before he scored at Anderlecht ... the guy pulled two miracles from two occasional passes and suddenly those passes become assissts ?? Of course the goal came from 'Kaka magic' but at the end of the day the one credited with the assist is the one who made the final pass, and Gila was the one who did that.

Technically yes he was the one that provided Kaka with the ball but IMO you can't give him kudos for it or say something like "Gila had a good game cause he did this and he did that plus he also gave that assisst to Kaka' for him to score the 3rd goal".

I really think it was nothing but a regular, trivial pass that Kaka' turned into magic ...

I get what you are saying but jbryant1 said that Oliveira set up Kaka's second Kaka created the third, something like that, and I told him who provided the assisting balls. Yes Cafu's qualifies as an assist, even though that goal was pretty much all Kaka also, he made the run and turn from midfield, played a quick 1 2 with Cafu and put it in, same goes for the third, he played a quick 1 2 with Seedorf, played another with Gila and smashed it in.

I know that that pass didn't mean anything as you say it was 'trivial' I could have made it to him also, I was just pointing to the fact that the player who made the final pass to Kaka is the one credited with the assist. I never said that Gila's assist was crucial in the goal, because it's clear he isn't, it would be like saying that the player who made Kaka's assist in the match against Fanerbache in San Siro was crucial to the goal

just got done watching the match (i had to record it)...and i am very pleased with the outcome. might not have been the toughest opponent but this is the first time this season i've seen us simply dominate a team we were suppose to dominate.

i think everyone played a great game...and i hope carlo starts this squad from this point on...they looked the best all around than in any other game, imo
