I dont really know,...I would avoid the following:

1) The explosive combination of Pippo and Gila...

2) Å imić or Cafu an the RB. Å imić sucked on that position and improved ever since he played th CB, and Cafu is exhausted and deserves a break. Put in Brocchi, even Costacurta.

Also I would suggest:

1) Give a rest to Pirlo. He needs it, his body language shows it to us clearly... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) .

2) Why not try to make a triangle with Gila - Kaka - Gourcuff?

Agreed on all, except fot the last one, that is basically xmas tree formation but Gourcuff instead of Seedorf, but I think that Oliveira should be the one to speare head the triangle not Gila, since he is a box striker and it doesn't really work well with just a box striker you have to have someone who is more mobile and harder to mark so that spaces could open up for both Kaka and Gourcuff could exploit them

Btw I just want to add don't you think that Kaka should be given a rest, he has been giving his all for all 90 mins for all the matches we've played, if we keep on going in this rate he will be burned out come the middle of the season.

That's why I think this match could be our opportunity to rest him, even if not for the whole 90 minutes at least half of the match, and if we are struggling we put him in, but atleast give him the option to rest and see how we get on without him.

If we where to rest him (even though I'm pretty sure it won't happen) I would go for this formation:

Simic--Nesta--Maldini--Kaladze
---Gattuso--Gourcuff--Janku---
--------------Seedorf------------
----------Gila------Oliveira-----

Well yes and no, it's confidence boosting time, all proven goal scorers need a run out tonight, except Andy P (dst can dislike it all he wants (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) who looks like he's gonna stop breathing if he keeps at it. What about Rino, how is the old boy doing? He hasn't rested much either...

I still think we shud go for a 3-4-1-2, I remember we did do something like this last season.

Then switch to a more defensive mindset by around 55-60 minutes.

QUOTE
Ancelotti: Europe then Italy…

Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is hoping that a win over Anderlecht on Wednesday will allow them to focus on their Serie A recovery.

The Rossoneri will face the Belgian side at the San Siro and a win should be enough for Ancelotti’s team to book a place in the last 16 of the Champions League.

“We are doing well in the group and although Anderlecht are a good side we want to win and then concentrate more on the domestic championship,” said the Coach.

"It will not be an easy game, but I believe we can win and make our qualification to the next phase near to certain.

“After that we will finally be able to focus on Serie A, trying to fill in the gap that separates us from the leaders of the table as soon as possible,” continued Ancelotti.

“We have to start well, we are where we want to be in the Champions League but it is the opposite in Italy where we are 14 points behind Inter.

“We lost against Palermo and Inter and although we were not dominated we had some difficulties in the first half,” explained the Rossoneri tactician.

Milan, despite being down to 10-men, collected a 1-0 win in Brussels two weeks ago and the Coach expects a similar result.

“I am not planning any changes to our usual tactics and I think Anderlecht will also maintain the same characteristics they had in their home match,” he added.

“They are very quick and well organised, especially in defence, we will need to be very determined.

“Yoann Gourcuff will probably be in the starting line-up seeing as has completely recovered from his injury, whereas Giuseppe Favalli, Serginho and Massimo Ambrosini are out.

“Alberto Gilardino's goal in the derby has helped relax him and this may be useful tomorrow evening,” concluded Ancelotti.

The match will kick-off at 20.45 local time and has been assigned to Herbert Fandel of Germany.

So that's 2 players almost being confirmed for tomorrow, and I like both options (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Now my only hope is that Gila will not play next to Pippo

Gila - Pippo? Together for tomorrow?

I don't believe Carletto is THAT stupid. At least I hope so. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Due to his obvious unselfishness, Pippo is gonna play second punta...the master strategist that is Carletto shines forth. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/realmad.gif)

I'm just playing Carlo, you know we love you... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

Well he did hint at Ambro playing in the derby in the pre-match conference and that's what we got (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I'm pretty sure Gila and Gourcuff will play though.
