I would be real, real happy if we closed on those terms. The CM article I read made it sound like Villarreal (like Seville) was not willing to pay any money. However, I am still concerned that Bacca may insist on Seville. I hope he realizes that the alternative is to warm the bench (or sit in the stands), which surely he will want to avoid in a WC year.

Carlos Bacca has left Milanello. He is getting closer to joining Villarreal. Bacca hasn't participated in training [Sky].

The media have reiterated that Bacca will only leave if it's an outright sale or obligation. He will not be going on an option. Finally this looks like it's going to finally come to an end, hopefully with decent cash to line out pockets.

Kalinic will most likely be closed this week as well

Now reports are saying that with the sale of Bacca we will sign 2 forwards Kalinic + a big name...

One thing we definitely know is Diego Costa isn't coming. And after preaching his attributes for long enough, I have now completely changed my mind and want him less than a genital wart.

He is a loathsome disgusting little puss-filled sputum, who will disrupt our dressing room. I don't care how good he is, I don't want him at Milan. Which is fine as he isn't coming.

Il Gallo?

I think we gave up on him. The only big name that can come atm is Auba and even he is a major long shot

The only way I'd want him here is if he were 100% invested in the project, atm it's looking like he'd rather rot for a year in Brazil than go anywhere aside from Atletico. What an idiot. I think he'd doing this partly to spite Chelsea tbh

Agreement between Villarreal and Milan for Bacca could be for around €16-18M [@AlfredoPedulla]

Considering we could have gotten the full 30m last summer from WHU this is a bit of a blow. But it had to be done, his value next summer would have been close to 0

As far from stellar as Bacca was this last season, he did still help us reach EL. Who knows what B&G would have done with that 30mil last summer.

EL and 18mil>30mil and 7th place

Who knows who wouldn't have come this summer if we weren't playing in Europe

Maybe I'm just an optimist.

I don't want him here. He's unprofessional. He's been fined for ditching Chelsea's pre-season training and on the pitch his conduct at times is deplorable.

I've overlooked the latter in favour of his ability, but the more recent developments make him toxic.

It's a no from me.

Apparently, loan with an obligation to buy at 17-18M. If so, I will be very happy. (Niang is next, and apparently Torino is interested.)

Apparently Toro bought someone from Roma (can't remember his name) so that rules them out. The only clubs who would be willing to pay what we want for him (~18m) would be English clubs, and atm no one seems to be clamouring for him. I'm really interested to know what happened when we had supposedly agreed a deal with Everton for that much for him. Did he really reject it, or was there no deal to begin with? I can't really see anyone else coming in for him and paying that kind of money. Looks like we could be stuck with him for another season

Good news all round today, I hope Biglia makes a quick recovery.

Sounds like there is still a possibility, though the situation appears to be somewhat complicated (link). Apparently Miha wants Niang, but so does Montella. Milan is willing to include him as part of a deal for Belotti, but Cairo is not going for that.

I think the Belotti door is closed for this summer, we'll have to wait until next year

As for Niang, I find it hard to believe that Montella would want to hold on to him that much. He's the one that wanted him out last year and he hasn't done anything impressive bar the game vs Bayern to warrant Montella batting for him.

Anyway, on the Bacca front, Mediaset Premium saying is a 2m loan + 16m obligation. On the other hand sky are saying loan + option for those same amounts...

Sky are the more reliable source. So let's all pray that Bacca has a blinder of a season in Spain or we'll be back to square one next summer if the loan is really with an option

Bacca to Villarreal will be a paid €2,5M loan with option to buy for €18M, total cost could be €20,5M.

Hopefully paying money upfront will push them into making it a permanent deal if he does well (I think he'll manage a good number of goals in Spain if they can integrate him into the team well)

Yup, looks like no obligation (link). Deal not quite official yet, but looks like there is closure (well, at least for now). Have to hope he does well in Spain.

So the Barcelona papers are running a story that because of the Paulinho transfer, Sergi Roberto wants to leave - and that Milan and the Gobbi as well as some English clubs are interested.

Could be useful in midfield.
