Well, if London was the destination 3 names pop up. Diego Costa (most likely), Sanchez (I'd cry) or Kane (Hope not)

1. I read we're not interested in Costa (at least not for a half-year loan).

2. Sanchez is a second-striker, not exactly what we need.

3. Kane, could be. Hopefully not. But I'm sure Tottenham would demand the sun for him.

The fact they might have gone to London doesn't mean it's only about London-based clubs, though.

I wouldn't be entirely opposed to Ibra even with THAT MAN as his agent.

The other name being tossed about is, to my surprise, Thomas Muller of Bayern.

Ibra is out for half the season, don't get me wrong, I'd take him, but we'd need to buy someone else along with him.

Muller is just unfounded rumours, never liked his style either, so I'd hope not. I can't see him leaving Bayern at this stage either

1. If we're serious and Costa also wants to come then it will be on our terms and not his. We're doing him a favour here as well, so either he accepts our terms or he goes to do nothing at A.Madrid in a World Cup year

2. Second striker, winger, trequartista; if there is a chance at someone of his quality would you turn him down because he doesn't have the specific skill set we need? Think about it, the team we assembled lacks pace up front. Deulo last season altered the face of our attacking game simply by having that change of pace that none of our other players had. Sanchez and Silva up top would work imo and they could be something special. Obviously this is a very highly unlikely scenario as he wants astronomic wages, is close to PSG and wants CL football

3. Agreed on Kane

Looks like it's Costa after all, but on a contract basis on our terms.

The guy is 28 and world class, I'd take him.

What are those? He wants to go to Atletico. He's clear on that. He'll only play for us till winter I guess? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Sure hope not. I don't want the club to become a parking lot for Mendes clients. It didn't work out too well for Valencia...

Of course. A monster up front, best striker in England, and I'd have taken him over Morata, Auba and Belotti and Kane combined.

The whole point is to change his mind.

Who cares. If it's world class players we're talking about, what difference does it make who they're managed by?

Not if the club is used to dump them for periods that aren't in the club's best interest - eg Costa for six months does nobody but him any good.

And I'm going to take exception to defining him as 'world class'. That term is so broadly used that it has little meaning any more. Would Diego Costa start in a World XI? No. Is he really good? Yes.

The issue of Milan being a parking lot for Mendes clients wanting to go elsewhere aside, Diego Costa, for all his talent, has always been a bit of a problem child on and off the pitch. That to me is another reason to be cautious. If Milan is really trying to build a team, do they want some guy in for 6 months who's got a really bad attitude and a habit of picking up cards and not getting on with his coach?

Yep, same I guess. Wouldn't be overjoyed about it but he is a top player that will instantly make us a contender imo.

Our terms means either a permanent move on a short term deal (like 1 to 2 years) or at least if Atletico want to buy him, we let them take him and they loan him to us but the loan is for the entire season. No way we'll take him for 6 months, that would qualify as his terms and not ours

I share your apprehension about him, but the other options are just too unrealistic atm. Plus this leaves the door open for Belotti next summer.

And also, I can't see us taking him for 6 months, either it's the entire season or nothing at all

You don't seem to be getting the point. The idea is to sign Costa on a full-term contract. I'm all against signing him for only six months. Go back and read my initial comment.

And since when have we been a parking lot for Mendes? I don't ever recall signing a bunch of his players. Care to explain?

He's world class. You telling me there's only two or even one world class strikers on earth?

Who are they? Suarez? Messi? Neymar? Ronaldo? Benzema? Dybala?
