I'm thinking of what Boban said yesterday (I think) on Milan. So solid moves in the transfer market, yet no real gamechanging player or players who could bring us to the next level. This is what bothers me as well. We need someone who can lead and someone who can offer the extra quality level.

Aubameyang would be a statement of a signing. That's into the marquee department.

I actually feel the opposite. Kucka did much better than I expected when we signed him, whereas Paletta was for the most part terrible.

Paletta was actually pretty good when he wasn't making a profoundly idiotic and unnecessary dangerous tackle to get sent off. This wild card stupidity is why I'm glad he's on his way out. Kucka was more impressive than the low expectations that I had for him coming in but he is a very limited player. Physically imposing but without tactical or technical skills. He could bulldoze his way to the 18 but had his head down the entire time leading to a shot to row z. I'm glad we are getting a bit of money for him.

Paletta lost us at least 6 points. I remember the game against Genoa and some others come to mind. This guy doesnt deserve to play football at all. Totally brainless.

Both were simply not good enough. I personally would have rather kept Paletta over Zapata as I think that overall he's the better defender and he'd have been a decent backup, but the fact that he's a red card magnet puts him in the unreliable category. I think we would have kept him had he wanted to stay on as a backup and sold Zapata

Depends on what type of formation Montella wants to play. I think Biglia is more suited for 4-2-3-1, but for 4-3-3 I'd get Modric on the spot.

Also, is Aubameyang really an option? That would mean that either we play with two strikers or that Andre Silva warms the bench...
