Why not pay +60M for a proper midfielder and not buy Kalinić instead?

Yes, it seems like a blitz signing. According to Twitter (@Planetmilan) Borini will have his medical tomorrow; two buy options: €1 million season loan plus €5 million buy-option & bonus or buy for €6 million plus bonuses.
Link Filler signing I guess. But I'd rather give a kid a chance then bring in such a low quality player. |

I believe Mira had been following Borini for some time, wonder if he sees something there. However, it is hard for me to get excited about a Liverpool reject. Have to wonder what's behind this signing. Fill a role on the cheap so we can splurge on a marquee signing? Or concern that we are not selling players like Niang or Bacca? Or perhaps a way to put more pressure on these players (as their chances of seeing play time is reduced).
