QUOTE (d'Arc.LP @ Jun 19 2017, 01:57 AM) *
Raiola: "We were threatened, Milan have lost Donnarumma. I take the responsibility of his choice. There was on overly hostile and violent situation that was created. Donnarumma was threatened, his family was threatened. Threats of not playing, death threats, banners never removed from the management and passive behaviour against us. It was never an economic matter, if there are two parties that want to find a solution they'd have done it. They [Milan management] handled a top player like Donnarumma wrongly, they were too exuberant. I wanted to know Milan's project gradually? Yes but I was already guaranteed from the club won't continue signing free agents. We have no agreement with any club, no club has pushed us to do anything. The problem is not economic, it's a matter of form. We could no longer accept certain threats, certain tensions, psychological stress, the passivity of the club towards Gigio. Mirabelli? I am talking about Milan but Mirabelli is an exponent who did this and then he takes his own responsibility. I have nothing against Milan, relations with Fassone are great and if we have to talk we will do. However, Milan have now made their decision. We had to decide on June 13 and we have decided. If Donnarumma risks losing a year of his career? Yes it's a big risk. For me it's mobbing if you threaten a player to stay for a year in the stands. Milan looking for a new goalkeeper? They have the right to look for other seven goalkeepers too, it's not our problem."

Raiola: "Donnarumma was willing to renew with Milan. They forced us to not renew, at a certain point Gigio told me 'Sincerely Mino I do not feel like negotiating or accepting a proposal in this environment, seeing what's happening to my family and me'. Between me and Mirabelli there was no feeling, we are on totally different waves. His attitude as a director is unacceptable."

So lot me get this straight, The club and Mirabelli were too "passive" towards Dolla, but at the same time they were too "exuberant".

He also said " And then if you have a top player in your club like Gigio, why do you go and offer double or triple for Morata or Aubameyang", but at the same time he wants reassurances about the club's spending power and also while saying that the issue wasn't an "economic" one

And lastly regarding his stupid, make no sense comments; he says that Dolla was threatened, but then he makes mention of the banner next to Casa Milan, which at the time clearly was absolving Donna and was criticising Raiola. The Milan fans have not only been treating Donna with kid gloves as player when he makes mistakes, but up until 3 days ago, they were putting the blame on Raiola, going so far as to imply that the man can't even think for himself.

Raiola has obviously been advising him for the sole purpose of his own financial gains, but it's obvious that the ultimate decision came from Donna no matter how much he was coerced into it. Look at Hamsik for example, his agent is Raiola, and I'm sure he'd have given his left nut to move him on from Napoli, especially when he was at such a high demand a few years ago, but his client stood his ground and stayed at Napoli. So as much as Raiola is now trying to apply damage control, I think he's made the situation worse for himself and his client when he spewed out all this nonsense. He obviously thought he was going to mess around with Fassone and Mirabelli like he did with Galliani, they weren't having any of it and refused to be held to ransom by this fat greedy f@ck.

So now he wants to dictate how Mirabelli acts when an 18 year old and his agent are going to f@ck over the club that made his career possible? Raiola is simply mad that Mirabelli wasn't willing to stroke his massive ego so he convinced Donna into making what's probably the worst decision a young player can make, had Donna had any sense, he would have fired him and showed gratitude towards the club. Simple as that, and we're not just talking about a situation where he would have made any sort of financial sacrifices by accepting Milan's offer. The club were ready to offer him everything on a silver platter, big wages, iconic status and the captaincy. Just like Fassone said, I don't know what else they could have done to convince him and his greedy agent. You were given a deadline? Boo hoo, wtf did you expect, for the club to keep crawling on it's knees begging you to sign until next summer and then you'd have f@cked us over even worse?

And in hindsight, I think it's good that he's leaving and won't take that ridiculous contract we offered him, it would have just set a bad president to have an 18 year old commanding so much power. Not even Messi got that type of deal at 18 FFS

You might think that I am reading way too much into this situation, but I am very convinced things are the way I described.

I don't think you're reading too much into it at all. I think it's obvious that this was a damage control exercise by Raiola as Donna's image has suffered a massive hit after all this, and not just with Milan fans. The only fans who are really rejoicing in this are the Juve fans because they're thinking they'll benefit from this entire ordeal.

So Raiola is not only trying to make exccuses for his client by saying that he's received death threats ((IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I don't believe for a second that Dolla received any sort of threats before he refused to renew, most fans still saw him as the next coming just a few days ago, it's only now that the veil has come off), he's also trying to pin the blame on the club (Mirabelli), I don't really beleive that he was threatened by Mirabelli either before his ultimate decision came. Both Mirabelli and Fassone have always insisted that it's Montella's decision to make and Fassone also said that each decision and each phonecall that's been made was agreed upon by both.

It's obvious Raiola has had ulterior motives from the very beginning of this. First it was the legitamacy of the new ownership, when they showed that the spending power was there he blamed it on being rushed into a decision, now it's the club was too passive, the club was over exuberat, Mirabelli didn't conduct himself according to Raiola's handbook, Mirabelli treated Donna as an asset and not a person, other players were going to earn more than him, etc, etc and the excuses go on and on.

With all that being said about Raiola trying to turn the media on Milan, he's also very obviously leaving the door open to a possible renewal IF and offer doesn't come in or Milan doesn't accept the low offers which could POTENTIALLY come in. He doesn't want to move Dolla on a free either, as he loses out on comissions and other shady kickbacks off any potential moves, he said as follows: "How does it end with Gigio? The ball is in Milan's court. If they call me, it's my duty to listen."

I just want to add re F & M; Fassone also said in his interview that had Dolla been clear with them and told them he wanted to leave, they would have accomodated that request as well by putting in a reasonable release clause in his contract so that neither party loses out. But with this move they simply f@cked the club over. So now Raiola can cry wolf all he wants, it doesn't change the fact that he's the most reviled agent in the game, his client is also viewed as an ungrateful, money grabber with no balls to stick up to his agent by the majority of football fans

QUOTE (Forza Milan! @ Jun 19 2017, 06:40 AM) *
I would not put a lot of faith in Dolla coming back at this point. Also, I don't see any real offers coming in (Real, PSG, and Juve all have different GKs in mind). Teams that may be interested in Dolla are in no hurry, and probably don't really care if he plays next year or not. And from Milan's perspective, if we get a new keeper we better be playing him and not Dolla.

While Fasso and Mira are clearly keeping the door partially open, I believe Fasso was also setting the stage for not playing Dolla. A club cannot keep a player out of the lineup simply because he refuses to sign a renewal (that's what the Pandev-Lazio situation was about, and the courts allowed Pandev to transfer to Inter before his contract terminated because Lazio refused to let him play). However, if the player has emotional problems (which is what Raiola just publicly stated), well, than that's a different matter. Why would anyone play a goalkeeper that told the world (through his agent) that he is real unhappy about how his club has treated him and is afraid of the fans? GK is a very delicate role, you really need someone who is mentally solid and 100% committed to the team. So my interpretation of what Fasso said is something to the effect of "if we don't play Dolla, it's because of his emotional state".

I think the intentions are clear from both parties at this point. They're both keeping the door open to a renewal as neither side wants to lose face, if no one comes in for Dolla this summer, that would be a major blow to Raiola and his grand plan for his prized asset. While Milan would miss out on a big transfer fee coming in, so neither side will fully close the door to a renewal, even if it is just for this season and he'll move on next summer for whatever release clause they put in.

But it's also obvious that from Milan's perspective, unless they're given gaurantees by Dolla himself that his intention is to stay longterm, even if he renews his contract, he won't be the starter next season.

I think these are the scenarios which could potentially happen with this entire saga, the lower the number the more probable the scenario

1) Club comes in with a satisfactory offer and he goes
2) Doesn't renew, sits on the bench/sent to the Primavera side, leaves for free next summer
3) Doesn't get any offers/we reject small ones, renews his contract with a smaller release clause so he can leave next summer, we still purchase a new keeper to be the starter next season
10) Club and player find some sort of common ground, he renews with a proper high release clause and commits himself to Milan for the next 5 years, he'll be the starting keeper next season

The last option imo is 99% improbable, as even if the scenario does happen, I don't see how there could be a reconciliation with the fans at this point

It is more than true than Raiola is doing damage control and the management totally won this "battle", especially in the eyes of the fans and media.

What I think Raiola is saying is that while Milan was passive in protecting Dolla (not true at all!) they were active in threating him (partially true since he uses the word threat instead of pressure and this is before he decided not to renew)n but it is true that the management threated him after he decided not to renew.

Personally I think that this whole saga would go much differently if Raiola wouldn't be a greedy SOB he is and if Mirabelli played this with caution (knowing who are we dealing with). I like Mirabellis style, I just think that sometimes you have to adapt to new situations where you don't have leverage and don't habe the high ground.

This thing never was about wages, both Raiola and Dolla know that whenever they go they won't earn what they got offered by us. The only problem was the clauses and the dead line.

Both of the parties entered these talk only by the business perspective and while someone would try to argue differently, there is no refusing that Dolla should have had more gratitude and Mirabelli more willingness for this renewal to happen.

I deal with these kind of situations daily, and while bluffing and strongarming might work in a business meeting or a deposition, there are very few chances that that might work when the other party has another option and is cocky.

As I said, while I would like that we use Dolla to get James (if this would be the only way to get him, even if Dolla had a long contract with us) I can totally see the management and Dolla sitting again together, while Montella will be used as an intermediary who represents both players interest inside the pitch and also the clubs. I might not like that he renews with us, since this puts both us and Dolla in a shitty position and the only one who would gain from this would be Raiola since he is known for these kind of situations, while Milan management would be under the risk to make itself as unprofessionals (which I think that it is not true) and Dolla as heartless gold digger (which I think that is true for the moment but can prove me wrong with his next moves).

Hmm, don't forget Fassone said this:

"In case Donnarumma reconsiders his decision, he'd not only be welcomed by Milan, but in the end, I also believe, by Milan fans."

This opens the door for Dolla not only to renew so we get more money for him, this opens the door fot a reconciliation also.

Bild: Milan's interest in Bernd Leno is concrete and they have already contacted Bayer Leverkusen for the Goalkeeper.

Calciomercato.com: Bertolacci could be returning to Genoa as part of the deal for Mattia Perin.

BTW the clock is ticking, if we sign Perin, then Dolla leaves for sure, we just don't know if he will leave now or leaves for free next summer.

Raiola is doing a fine job, he should be applauded by all agents. Milan are definitely holding the short stick at the end of the day.

If I was Donna I'd also want Madrid! Once apon a time there was Milan, but in todays football; when was the last time Madrid won anything noteworthy? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/96.gif)

Actually I don't hold that to be true.

1) Raiola screwed this hard and we got Mirabelli to applaud for that. It all depends on Dollas wish and how his agent gets the best deal pleasing his client and himself. If Dollas wish was to leave for Madrid cos Milan wont play in CHL next year, then Raiola should have insisted on Dolla renewing with a clause (like Fassone suggested) and in the mean time he would keep his players value at top and also get bonuses by the transfer. What he did is, he lowered his clients value for 200%, he put his client in the crosshairs of media and the fans. Now even the fans of other teams, Madrids too, don't like him for the snake he is. Even if he gets him to Madrid for free next year, he lost his client that 1 year in CHL that couldn't get with Milan, he will not get bonuses, his client will be out of shape without playing competitive football, Madrid might aswell sign de Gea this window and not only his clients self esteem will be low, his moral will be destroyed. How is that a fine job? I think that Dolla really should reevaluate if Raiola had his clients best intetest at heart.

I can't blame him if he wants Madrid, just as you can't blame Balotelli for wanting Milan some time ago. The problem is that during the road gave clear signals that he wants to stay, he earned the respect of the club and the love of the fans by kissing Milans badge and actions like these. Not only he is going down as a Snake, he is going down as a player that put his club - the club which trusted him with everything, in a position not to gain anything by his transfer, only to attract Madrid for a lower sum, cos if he signed a clause, no way in hell Madrid or anyone would pay 100m for him. It's not his wish to transfer to Madrid that we judge, its the way he did it.

Juventus CEO Marotta: "There has to be some official regulations regarding these agents. They are sometimes sincere but also very very greedy. As soon as there's interest from top European clubs for our players, we are forced to yield to requests that simply defy all logic."

Il Secolo XIX: There will be a meeting today between Milan and Genoa for Mattia Perin. The Goalkeeper has given his go ahead for the transfer. Genoa are looking for a deal valued at around €15m.

Raiola: "Galliani called me after the contract negotiations to calm me down and convince me to reconsider. I abruptly rejected his request."

La Gazzetta dello Sport round up!

Papu Gomez's agent Giuseppe Riso is expected in Milan this week to have a discussion as Milan continue their search for a left winger.

Meanwhile, his club Atalanta will also meet with Milan this week possibly for him and Conti. Conti will only join Milan and it is left to the clubs to work out an agreement.

Lazio captain Biglia meanwhile, has reiterated to club president Lotito that he wishes to join Milan. It is now up to Fassone to try and lower Lazio's demands so that the transfer can go through.

Raiola: "Milan have not asked me about Ibrahimovic. If Galliani were still here, Ibra would have already arrived."

This SOB can't shut up ? Cut all ties with this parasite, even if we have to sell Bonaventura and Abate. It is clear that this idiot is trying to play Milans new management and I have a feeling that Galliani has a finger in it.

I'm confused. I thought us playing hardball and letting him 'sit in the stands' was the right move and all about our Asian owners 'saving face'.

None of this makes sense. I'm so lost.

I didn't go alongside the theory of saving face. Don't forget we are in damage control too. Maybe Mirabelli could have handeled it better but now it is a different story. I said we can threat to leave him on the stands to gain leverage but not actually do it.

I don't think he will stand in stands. We are just threating to make leverage. Read Mirabellis statement again, you will see.

What??

He's doing an absolutely sh!t job!!!

He's basically put his young charge's career at risk, made him look terrible among football fans in general and clubs will be even more wary of working with him than they already were after the Pogba debacle

An agent should only be there to look after his client's interesets, not to push him into making terrible decisions which could litereally stunt his growth and cause the footballing world to start treating you like a primadonna

Raiola has simply f@cked his client, and Dolla has in turn f@cked us. Real are obsessed with getting De Gea, if an offer from them doesn't come then Dolla will be double f@cked. Raiola has forced him into not only making a bad choice footballing wise, but he's also turned half of Milan against this kid and he might end up being stuck here for another season

Had Raiola really been looking out for his client's interests and had Dolla wanted to leave, they should have been straight witht he new management and told them so. Fassone just said that they would have accomodated that request while honouring both parties' wishes. Raiola has only looked out for his own interests in this case.

It's obvious both parties are leaving the door open as there are no gaurantees that clubs will come knocking with offers for him, certainly not as huge as ours was. If he does end up staying out his contract though, I'm 100% sure he'll be sitting it out all of next season

Fassone: "Donnarumma's decision is not to renew. I believe we have been consistent in negotiations from the very beginning. This is what I felt from Raiola's words. But whenever I spoke with Donnarumma, I felt that he is a guy in love with Milan, who wanted to stay. I have a feeling that this was a decision made by Raiola. A business decision, from which the boy is suffering. We're leaving the door open for possible contacts with Raiola. It is difficult, but never say never."

"The deadline is July 3. We don't want to have players with expiring contracts thinking about other things. The deadline is July 3. We don't want to have players with expiring contracts thinking about other things. Death threats? I found that out from him. I only noticed criticism towards the approach of Raiola and Donnarumma. Criticism was understandable for a fan, who believed that Donnarumma had the Milan colors tattooed to his skin.

"I've been working with Mirabelli for many years. No one had ever complained about any sort of aggression or threatening. Mirabelli is an honest director. Transparent and competent, who makes no compromises. What he does, he does together with me."

"I don't think the situation is a nightmare. In football we have to anticipate and deal with choices. But there is bitterness. If the choice is confirmed, we're losing a champion and a lot of money, but we receiving support from the fans that we didn't expect. Perin is a name, but Mirabelli is talking to many clubs and holding an open list of goalkeepers. The idea is to choose the two most suitable GK profiles. This will take a couple of days."

Fassone: "If someone wants Donnarumma, they have to make a bid that matches the value of the player. We will not sell him for €20m."

Raiola contradicts his statements! This man with double-face:

Raiola last night: "It was never an economic matter, if there are two parties that want to find a solution they'd have done it."

Raiola today: "If you offer Morata €10m, you can't give a top player like Donnarumma just half of that."

I like Fassone, I have been saying this a lot lately. The guy has a clear picture and is more transparent than Galliani ever was. Which is why I am gonna support whatever decision he makes.

Now Raiola making a fool of himself. He was ready to push the limits to get Dolla even more than 5m/season while knowing that no other club will offer him even 4m. I am waiting for this guy to suck his words pretty soon.

You guys are too sentimental, Donnarumma leaves Milan whats the BIG deal? We lost bigger legendary players and life goes on.

Raiola did a splendid job for his client. Id want him as my agent. And what is all this about ruining the kids career? He is 18 FFS, he only played two seasons with us. We are a EL team which barely made it. Madrid are a glorious club with guaranteed silverware at the end of the season. Its a nobrainer actually

But you failed to explain many of our points.

Raiola could have sent Dolla to Real on much better circumstances. You would like you agent to loose you one 1 year, make you look like a villain, and lower your value? I
