Roma, even losing to Inter on the last Wednesday, is looking pretty strong.

If there was a team other than ours that should get the scudetto, it should be Roma .. I would be, sadly though, so happy for them (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Honestly though, I don't think this yrs scudetto should be considered an achievment as there is no Juve .. And as time goes by, the championship actually is loosing taste... IMO

Inter conceeding 3 goals to Chievo !!! Now they do have a strong attack, but comon their defence is a joke .. Matrix-cordoba/samuel .. Grosso ?? Please .. I cant say anything about Javier as I think very highly of him (opppsss I actually praised sh!t 'merda') ..
*

well the whole score was a joke ... both Crespo's goal would have been stopped even by Copolla (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ... Samuel's well ... but OK at least they got a great one in Stankovic's ( (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) ) the fill the sh1t up !!! Merda deserved to win and something like 2-0 would be a fair picture of the game ...

sh1t happens ... they were lucky IMO ... and this is not Brazil ... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

anyway ... I hope we had bought Crespo ... mostly so that Inter wouldn't have him now !!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

well ... for Inter yeah it will not be anything great if they win it (ofcourse they'll be out there celebrating, they even do that with Coppa Italia ... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ) but it will really mean something if we do it starting with the 8p deficit !!

And I don't agree that calcio Serie A loses it's taste ... it's just till the Calciopoli taste fades away and Giuve come back IMO !!

Inter under FIGC investigation
Monday 25 September, 2006

The FIGC are set to launch an investigation after former referee Massimo De Santis accused Inter of tailing him in 2002.

The former official, who was handed a four-year ban because of his involvement in the Calciopoli scandal, also accused the Via Durini outfit of tapping his phone, after another scandal broke out in the past few days in Italy revealing hundreds of cases of phone interceptions by Telecom Italia.

“When I first learned about this operation by Massimo Moratti I was disgusted, even if I know that can be a strong word to use,” said De Santis in a television interview.

“I am paying for something that I didn’t do, I have always stated my innocence and to know today what was happening a few years ago really makes me sick.

“Why were they following me? I think they maybe wanted to blackmail me.”

It is reported that Inter decided to have De Santis followed by a private investigator after former referee Danilo Nucini informed the late Inter chief Giacinto Facchetti of suspicious relations between Luciano Moggi and De Santis.

The investigation however brought to no firm results and the file was closed seeing as “there were no anomalies in De Santis’ way of life.”

If the accusations prove to be true, Inter could risk a fine for violating the sporting code, but there would be no consequences for the team itself in terms of points deductions.

Inter owner Moratti reacted immediately, saying that his club has nothing to do with the interceptions despite Telecom Italia being one of its shareholders.

“He’s got some cheek to say this kind of things – Inter has no involvement in this issue,” said the oil tycoon to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I think De Santis’ words are very serious, he cannot ignore the damage he is causing us by making these statements.”

Coach Roberto Mancini backed up Moratti’s comments, stating: "He’s disgusted? Myself and many others have been disgusted for months and we shall be so for the rest of our lives.”

Inter Not Scared By De Santis
The marketing consultant of the club does not believe that the Nerazzurri will end up in the Calciopoli scandal.

Following Massimo De Santis' revelations that it was Massimo Moratti who tapped his phones, many are waiting to see Inter's reaction to this.

The first reaction arrived from Lele Oriali, marketing consultant of the team.

"We don't fear anything. After what we suffered in the past years, this would be the last straw.

"I read De Santis' words on the newspapers, it's better if Moratti talks about it."

Roberto Mancini also replied to De Santis' 'disgusted' words towards Moratti.

"I and many others have been disgusted for many months, and we shall be so for the rest of our lives."

Zamparini eyes UEFA exit!
Monday 25 September, 2006

Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini has sensationally declared that he hopes his side get beaten by West Ham in their UEFA Cup first round tie.

The Rosanero were on top of the Serie A table before being defeated by Empoli on Sunday – much to the outspoken chief’s fury.

Their next match comes on Thursday against the Hammers, with the Rosanero leading the tie after their 1-0 win at Upton Park in the first leg.

“I hope West Ham kick us out of the UEFA Cup, otherwise I am sure we will lose again on Sunday against Chievo,” said Zamparini.

“This team cannot compete in two different tournaments and I honestly couldn't care less about the UEFA Cup – I prefer the Serie A championship.”

Wednesday’s party after the 5-3 win with Catania in the Sicilian derby seems light years away and Zamparini wants his men to keep their feet on the ground.

“Rotation is only possible for those clubs who have European ambitions, but that is not our case,” he continued.

“It’s a great feeling to be at the top, but it is just as terrible to fall back after an unacceptable and irritating defeat.

“I believe that we need to improve the performance of our defence, because we are conceding too many goals to our opponents.

“We can learn from this defeat and do well this season, but we need to focus.”

Actually not that much .. I think Palermo should consintrate on one tournament, Serie A, though that would mean we and the rest face even bigger challenges for the scudetto

it's dumb for Zamparini to say that ... but I understand why he said that ... he probably realize that Palermo finally have a real chance of winning scudetto ... that's why he doesn't want to risk it ...
