Agreed. That defense is actually very reliable. I would prefer Billy and someone between Simic and Bonera rather than the last two in the centre. And I agree that Cafu should rest, so that defense is perfect for this match.

Are you guys serious!!??? Those 4 have barely talked to each other, let alone having played alongised in a training match ...

Simic and Billy!!!??? that is slow AND stuck on the ground!!!! We don't want that ...

Anyway ... I'm sure that whatever Carlo comes up with, will have been tested beforehand!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Bonera does SOMETIMES attack a bit on the flanks, Janku does it more oftenly. But still either one from Cafu or Serginho would have been better.

But do you think a tired Cafu will be able to do anything big? Better play Bonera, who I think will be better motivated since he is playing against his former side.

Simic is somewhat always relyable when playing at the centre. Billy is also relyable, and Janku should have been getting the starting spot in the LB position, from when he recovered his injury, so I'm happy about him playing

Yes, you are right. Better to make it that way...maybe we could use Brocchi in the midfiel. I`d also like to see Ambro play, but that would be too much then. Brocchi- Prilo-Kaka-Seedorf could really do it. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I think that that's our best option. Maldini, Nesta and Kaladze are all out. You have said this many time yourself, that Cafu struggles to complete the whole 90 minutes, well now he has just played a full match, do you really think he is up for another?

Bonera is good in the RB position (better then Simic), he isn't attack minded and doesn't push up as much as Cafu but he is solid. Simic and Billy have played together in the centre and I think those are our best pairing for the centre. And I'm sure you agree with me about Janku playing as LB.

On another note; I really wish we could rest Kaka, but I wouldn't risk it against Parma. Maybe we could rest him against Ascoli, play Seedorf in his spot and move gourcuff in Seedorf's place.

Why not Pirlo on the Kaka position?

As I said...our chances have to come through the sides, both. So, if Cafu won`t play (Bonera instead), then Brocchi who is a bit better passer and winger then Rino should be the RM. Course, Rino is overall way better, like another galaxy, but the option that Christian opens will be needed in this match. Crosses, and especially vertical, straight down movement`s by both flanks`wingers could brake their defense.

I think Rino is a better winger than Brocchi. Remember his cross for Pippo against Red Star?

LATEST ON MILAN
9/16/2006 5:50:00 PM

Daniele Bonera is set for his Milan debut against his former club Parma on Sunday evening.

MILANELLO - Carlo Ancelotti outlined his plans for Sunday's Serie A match against Parma and revealed that changes would be made. The coach said: 'There will be a turnover tomorrow, with some players having a rest. Bonera, Gilardino and Jankulovski will all play. We'll see about the rest. Gattuso has a bit of a temperature, Inzaghi a bit of a cold. Nesta and Pirlo have rested so they'll definitely play while Paolo Maldini will sit out. Serginho is injured, he has a back problem. Kaladze is fit again but it's too soon to think of playing from the first minute. I'll have to see whether to take him to Parma or to stay and train here at Milanello.'

Ancelotti then turned to Parma and said: 'They have started well, a draw at Torino and a win in the UEFA Cup. They have changed the team with respect to last season although they play the same system, with an out-and-out striker, one in support and two wide men. This can be an advantage as we don't have to change anything in our preparation for the game. Anyway, Parma are a team with rhythm and good skill. On his day, Morfeo can create problems for anyone.'

Carlo said that Nesta will play but he is not in the squad for the game. Strange. Maybe he was refering to Seedorf (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

well, i don't like it. every match someone is 'resting', this takes away the communication between team-mates, Carlo should keep the defenders the same for most of the times.

He said that in yesterday's conference. After that, things turned that Nesta had a muscle problem and so he didn't take him.
