The problem is not that he's injured, it's the mystery surrounding this injury. We haven't received any updates on his injury status, now he's not included in the list meaning this injury will surely keep him out until the end of August.
It's just strange that's all. No one has really said anything about him while Allegri has talked about all the other injured players

Yeah. Mediaset clearly singled out players like Pazzini who are injured. But Saponara wasn't in that category. Link

And it seems that Balotelli is in doubt for PSV. Borriello being mentioned again. Han will be thrilled. Link

Alright, this is getting out of hand, guys. It is the 13th of August, only one week away from the play-off, and we haven't signed anyone! In two months and a half, our only signings have been Poli (co-own), Silvestre (loan), and Saponara (who we actually signed since January and has become a huge enigma at this point). Vergara is not even worth mentioning, typical Galliani BS signing. WTF!! Just what exactly are we trying to pull here? How is it possible that we cannot afford to sign a few decent players at reasonable prices anymore? It's not like we are asking for the moon, but Sakho, Honda and Ljajic: these guys are totally within our reach (given when their contracts expire, too) and they would solve a lot of problems for us. But no, we just sit with our d*cks in our hands waiting for something to happen. Every goddamn summer it's the story over and over again. I am dying for some explanations here, cos I keep thinking about and I just cannot figure how we've ended up so cheap and poor. QUOTE (Jack Bauer @ Aug 13 2013, 03:41 AM) This registration is just for the two PSV games so of course injured players were not included. Anyone can confirm this?

Anyone can confirm this? I don't have any official confirmation but I'm pretty sure we'll submit another list before the group stage starts, should we make it that is... And totally agree with you about the transfers thing. I don't know what's happening with Balo, but the management seriously cannot be thinking about recycling Boriello for the THIRD time now FFS!!!

On the other hand, fighting for the CL against PSV with only El Shaarawy, Niang, Robinho - none of which showed particular good form last season (except SES's first half season burst) isn't looking good as well. Yes, a creative player is the main objective, but...

Yeah I'm losing my patience with it. In late June when people were complaining, I gave the management the benefit of the doubt because there was so long left in the window. We had the whole of June, July and the first 2 weeks of August to sign players and why haven't we?
Villa made 7 transfers by July 1st, the point is to have your team ready BEFORE the start of the season. Even if we sign 2/3 players now, which we won't, they aren't going to be on our CL list and will have no chemistry with the team, it'd also make Allegri's job more difficult. I swear the management do whatever they can to make things awkward.

Yes, a creative player is the main objective, but... Do you really think that a dud like Boriello or Matri or whatever other random name we've been linked with will make that much of a difference? I'd rather go into the season as we are, as for Balo he's just doubtful right now, personally, I don't even understand why they let him go with the NT for a stupid friendly if he wasn't fully fit yet, just ridiculous that we're going to potentially lose him for a game that is crucial to the rest of our season. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 13 2013, 12:36 PM) I just checked, and we have to submit the definite list on 19 August, and we cannot change it until January. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) But that doesn't really make much sense. So clubs who sign players in the final weeks of the window can play them in the CL because the list is already submitted? It would be strange if this is the case.
