QUOTE (Zed.D @ May 17 2013, 04:40 AM) He was doing fine in the "tough" Serie A before the bulking up... we messed him up through bad treatment. that's what still bothers me. Sad but true. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) I'm still hoping he can pick himself up. it's only been ~5 months since he's been free of injuries and playing with some regularity. I'm not sure if someone can lose their talent so as long as he can make full physical/mental recovery he should be fine. if he doesn't have the strength to do it then what a waste. +1 Don't worry SES-Pato-Balo = the invincibles Coming soon (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

QUOTE Milan to recall Pato? By Football Italia staff
There are reports Alexandre Pato will return to Milan this summer due to Giampaolo Pazzini’s injury, just five months after joining Corinthians.
Pazzini will be out of action for four to six months after undergoing knee surgery this week.
It leaves the Rossoneri with a striker shortage and rather than bring in another new player, the Corriere dello Sport claims they will recall Pato.
Milan President Silvio Berlusconi was always adamant the move to Corinthians was temporary and that he’d return to San Siro in two years.
The calendar could be moved forward by the Pazzini situation, at least for six months until the Italian international can return to fitness in January.
Pato requested a move to Brazil so he could regain his fitness ahead of the World Cup and because he missed his homeland.
The 23-year-old is still dating Barbara Berlusconi, the daughter of Milan President Silvio.
Other options include former Milan forwards Alessandro Matri and Marco Borriello, now at Juventus and Genoa respectively. BS. if we had loaned him, maybe, but we can't do anything now. With Pazzini out injured till January, Niang absolutely incapable of playing any football, SES not having scored a goal in many, many games and having played like **** in most of them, and with Balo not being the kind you can rely on, we obviously need a striker. a good one at that, which automatically rules out Bori and Matri.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ May 26 2013, 02:14 PM) I do like Matri and he reminds me a little of Pazzini in that he never actually gets a chance and when he does he more often than not will get you a goal. I think it also says a lot of how crap we are at developing players that Matri is about the best Milan academy player out there right now. The best out of the academy are with us already. Abate and DS. Matri, as I've always maintained is pretty mediocre. Pazzini is easily the better player between the 2, and you know I was never a huge fan of his. But at least with Pazzo you know what you're getting. Consistant, hard work and effort. Matri is simply a poacher who goes through erratic patches of form.

Matri's inconsistant form is mostly down to him not really getting a run in the team. His last full season at Cagliari and his final half season at Cagliari/first half season with Juve he got over 20 goals I think, because he played every game, even if it was with 2 bad teams. Matri's record this season is a goal every 125 minutes. It shows he takes his chances and to be fair to him, it's even harder when you're getting 15/20 minutes every now and then and very few starts. Yeah you don't like stats, but minutes per goal is exactly that, he's scoring at a very good rate, you can't really put that down.
