QUOTE (Danny @ Feb 21 2013, 04:17 AM) Still can't get over how good Monto was. Total behemoth. His tackling, vision, work rate - better than anything I have ever seen from Pirlo. Class. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I've always put Aquilani above Montolivo in terms of attacking play, through balls, and setting up of goals, but Montolivo did everything that was expected of him from the back seat with pristine perfection. I still maintain if we had a quality AM (heck, even Aquilani as a bar minimum upfront), we'd be almost scoring goals at will.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Feb 21 2013, 01:21 AM) (IMG: http://www.calciomercatonews.com/wp-content/uploads/Ambrosini-21.jpg) And he did it again. That's why we keep him, that's why we should next year as well. Captained this match through like in the old days, when Rino, Andy and him were a unit. Praise for all our guys out tonight, and especially Allegri. When he concentrates, he can make a good tactical gameplan. Now once again the big question pops up - has he learned something from last year? Milan under Allegri have a nasty habit of preemptively starting to feel cosy and drop guard. Just remember Arsenal. This is Barcelona and we'll be more concentrated, sure. But we need a new tactical gameplan and strategy for Camp Nou. Hopefully Allegri makes the second step forward. Hopefully. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/king.gif) Our only remaining from the old guard :') In addition, to Monto being amazing..Boateng was f@cking everywhere as well..and the goal couldn't have been better.

Monto V Barca was what Pirlo couldn't be V Spain.
Staggering display and maybe the match of his life? I think you're exaggerating a bit on Pirlo. He's had massive games in his career both for Milan and Italy and now wit Juve as well in his 30s. Monto is more of a physical player. One thing I'm actually seeing a pattern with him on is his big match performances. He played like this as well when he faced Juve. I wonder why he never played like this against big sides for Fiorentina... As for your previous posts, yes I didn't agree with you about the line-up and I still think we could have done even better with Flamini instead of Muntari. But then again it's a double-edged sword considering he scored. But at least my heart could have done better without the heart stopping moments due to his ridiculous back passes and passes straight to the Barca players. Sometimes you seriously have to wonder if he uses his brain at all. Ambro rolled back the years tonight as well in that second half. But I want him kept wrapped in cotton until that 2nd leg. We don't need him in the league and I seriously question whether he can even play in the league within 3 days at this point

OMFG!!! I can't believe we won! I'm still incredulous about it. We completely shut them down, they had all the possession but 0 shots on target! Never seen such a ridiculous Barcelona in ages, and all the merit goes to our boys. They fought like lions, never backing down for the whole 90 minutes. Allegri completely owned their coach. We did a Chelsea on them, but like 10 times better. Everyone was amazing, even frigging Muntari got his sh!t together in the second half. Montolivo and Boateng stepped up and played like world-class players. Ambro once again proved me wrong and repeated last season's performance. Mexes was a rock in defense, and Abate proved wrong everyone who don't rate him enough. El Shaarawy was rather shaky, but his defensive work was immense and he gave the assist for the second. Two goals is a huge advantage, and hopefully we don't throw it away in the 2nd leg. I'm so happy right now! FORZA MILAN!!! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)
