Incredible after the woeful start we made that it seems Acid got it spot on. We are looking more and more likely to make 3rd this season.

I'm lost for words by that.

I still don't think we'll make it.

Well, don't get too excited. This period overall is marked by an easier schedule. We've still gotta fight the big games - Roma, Fiorentina, Inter, Napoli, Juve and Lazio ahead of us.

I agree, can't see us making it, unless we sign a proper striker and an extra DM - which won't happen.

Wasn't that hard to figure out, going by how we played the last few seasons. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleepysmiley03.gif) I say apathy has got a lot to do with it, particularly from players. They just don't seem to give a damn unless we hit rock bottom. Only then the climb to the top begins, when everything is on the line.

We still may finish outside top 3, though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

True, the possibility is there like I said above. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) But from here onwards, if we don't make 3rd, we don't deserve 3rd. The other teams in the league will give us every chance for making it, however, none of the clubs up top are invincible. See how Juventus are squandering it all. They did, last season too.

Absolute pity we could not make the most of it, with the team we had. Absolute pity, I say!

We'll see. Like Filippo said we haven't even touched any hard fixtures in a while. We need the other teams to keep dropping points at the consistant level they have been doing in the last few weeks and we need to win at least half of the games against the opponents Filippo mentioned.

Atm I'm pretty sure we'll make a EL spot, but as far as top 3 goes I'm still a bit skeptical going by the woeful way this team is STILL performing

El Shaarawy's inability to dribble s worrying.

He is known for his outstanding dribbling ability and technical skill.

From his Wiki page. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

He has outstanding finishing ability though. with the right teammates around him and more experience he will become a goal machine someday.

Sometimes he reminds me of Shevchenko, the way he scores and makes everything look so easy.

Aye, agreed. His finishing is really great.

Sheva was a very smart player though, something I'm yet to see in SES.

I'm not saying he's not a smart finisher, because that does have a hint of Sheva, but in his overall game, I don't see that mental superiority that Sheva had.

Sheva imo was a complete player, he could play out wide, as an AM and as a pure 9. He was fast, had vision, great dribbling, very good passer, could whip in some great free-kicks and an amazing finisher.

So far all I can see from El Shaarawy that resembles Sheva is the finishing and pace, which he rarely utilises properly because when it's time to outsmart his marker he hits a road block as he does not have the dribbling abilities to get past people. Also, the selfishness in some moments really irks me

Dude, calm down, nobody is comparing him to Sheva. Fillipo was mainly talking about his finishing. Sheva was on a whole other level.

lol, where did you see me going crazy over what Filippo said? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'm just pointing out some things about SES. And while, yes, he does have a bit of Sheva in the way he finishes off chances with relative ease, other areas of his game leave a lot to be desired.

I wonder if he'll be restrained to that left wing position for the majority of his career because of this season... That worries me slightly. Anyone can see that he's a natural striker and not a winger
