QUOTE (acid911 @ Jan 17 2013, 01:55 AM) I hear you, but I guess that leaves only me as the positive guy. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Maybe R7 too, but can't tell. Basically, I know we are in deep shtick, but if the good times didn't last, the bad ones won't either. And realistically speaking, I just know how bad we play, so I don't particularly have trouble watching matches. (IMG: http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/t473/iamsuperman85/funny/happy_dancing_zps8c4ef0d7.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) @ the gif I am optimistic for the future acid, we are adapting to the new regulations of European football. Many heavy weights will be forced to shed their squads, valuations for players will drop significantly to something more realistic (ie we can afford top players going forward), and Milan will be better positioned to comply with these regulations. Moreover, accounting tricks can be applied here, as FFP stipulates that owners can invest in the squad up to 45MM for the first three years (this being the first) subject to making a profit (our rigorous attempts at selling the high earners will significantly impact our profitability to a positive outlook). So in terms of numbers, I am optimistic, however, in terms of on-field footballing issues for the short-term .. that is somewhat of a grey area. Yet, even with that said, you have bright prospects such as SES and DS who have taken a step up from last season. In closing I am optimistic for the future (ie two years from now), however I do not expect anything significant till then.

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) One thing I would like changed though is the coach. Bring me someone who knows what he is doing and isn't experimenting like a mad scientist half way through the season. Other point I agree with, and am prepared for. It's just the circle of life, best way to enjoy the ride is understanding it.

QUOTE (acid911 @ Jan 17 2013, 11:35 AM) Bring me someone who knows what he is doing and isn't experimenting like a mad scientist half way through the season. This isn't a defense of Allegri the individual, though no doubt it'll get coloured that way. Should a coach be experimenting at this stage? No. But earlier in the season people were asking for 4-3-3, Allegri switched to it (to sarcastic remarks when it went well). Then it stops working and people are now saying he shouldn't be doing it. I think the fact is nobody knows what our best side is. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's no plan here, there's no system. It's just 20 or so random players thrown together in a squad. We have no #10, we have no wingers, we don't have the talent defensively to go 3 at the back like Juve and others - what can we do? I think what han put in the Best XI thread is probably about the best side, but even then Bojan/SES aren't truly wide players and most don't rate Pazzini. It's a huge mess. I'd like us to do what Barca have done for the past decade. Impliment a system from the youth ranks all the way through to the very top. It helps they have great players, but the success of their youth the last 5 years or so is also down to the fact that playing the position is just 2nd nature to them by the time they reach the Barca squad.

QUOTE (acid911 @ Jan 17 2013, 02:32 PM) And as for your comment on not having select players (#10, wingers) maybe Allegri should step up and demand them in this transfer window, instead of outright rejecting choices. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) A little less stubbornness, folks?! And oh, by this I don't mean 2-bit players like Tarore and all that, runners with legs as Allegri likes to call them. You have a gem in Bojan and the guy does not know how to use him. At all. Sad state of affairs. any idea of the selected players and the formation for the game?

Well, Gazzetta has this: QUOTE Abbiati; De Sciglio, Bonera, Zapata, Constant; Flamini, Montolivo, Boateng; Niang, Pazzini, El Shaarawy Some other formations suggest Robinho could start. Football Italia has this: QUOTE Abbiati; De Sciglio, Mexes, Zapata, Constant; Boateng, Montolivo, Nocerino; Bojan, Pazzini, El Shaarawy

WHY is Abate not playing?
Just ridiculous!
And I REALLY hope that we don't use Gazzetta's line-up that would just be plain old stupid

Mediaset has this one: Abbiati; De Sciglio, Mexes, Zapata, Constant; Flamini, Montolivo, Nocerino; Niang, Pazzini, El Shaarawy.
Out of the three, F-I's line-up is by far the best one. I really hope Allegri doesn't play Niang on the wing again.

Niang on the wing while Bojan is benched. How can this make any sense to anyone is beyond me, let alone someone actually getting paid to do the job!
