Could be. But I think only you, me and a few other posters consider him the "good uncle". Most of the people hate or dislike him. I know han cannot forgive him the stupid contract extensions (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE (han2503 @ Nov 12 2012, 11:28 PM) And for Pirlo But Pirlo is a more complex thing; Allegri, Galliani and Pirlo himself share some blame.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Nov 12 2012, 09:39 PM) But Pirlo is a more complex thing; Allegri, Galliani and Pirlo himself share some blame. Pirlo's request was pretty simple. 3 year contract. Money wasn't even the issue as he's currently getting half of what he did at Milan But Galliani suddenly decided to implement a 1 year only contract for above 30s as if everyone's case is the same. Allegri also had a huge part of course but let's not get into it because I have so many issues with this guy these days I can barely stand to look at him when the camera pans to him during games

QUOTE (han2503 @ Nov 13 2012, 02:45 AM) Pirlo's request was pretty simple. 3 year contract. Money wasn't even the issue as he's currently getting half of what he did at Milan Do you honestly believe money wasn't even an issue? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Let's say Pirlo would have earned 1/3 of what he earned every season here, and the management gave him a 3-year deal. Would the sucker have accepted it? Or how about getting in line like every other over-30 player, take it one season after the next, and do the talking on the footballing pitch? Every player near his age or performance level had to take an year-long contract, even Paolo. He only went to Juventus, because they were practically the only one willing to pay him the millions he needed. Not many Italian clubs would have took the gamble. And the guy's practically too timid (in his game play, that is) to try his hands at foreign clubs and their radically different style of play!

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Nov 13 2012, 02:40 PM) Yeah that was the big issue. Pirlo based on his previous 3/4 years did not warrant a 3 year extension. When a player refuses a 1 year deal, to me it screams that he does not have confidence in himself anymore. If he did, he'd have just taken it and then another year after that and so on. For me it's one of those one-third issues. One third of it was Pirlo, another third was the management and another third was Allegri. But I don't care anymore. Pirlo is a closed chapter for me. I no longer have a favourite player in this Milan team.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 13 2012, 04:30 PM) Apparently Pato was insulted outside San Siro by a bunch of fans after the Fiorentina game. It's just ridiculous at this point. Blaming a loss that was coming either way on a missed penalty, which anyone could have missed since we really don't have a specialist in this team to take them is plain stupid. It was a soft penalty which Pato himself won. I think fans are just desperate to find scapegoats at this point.

QUOTE lexandre Pato looks ahead to Napoli-Milan, explains why he took the penalty and denies he was attacked by angry fans. The striker sat down with Milan Channel just days after a 3-1 home defeat to Fiorentina in which he blasted a penalty over the bar. “The game didn’t go the way we expected and unfortunately we lost three points at home, but now have to focus on Napoli,” said The Duck. “I can say we are growing, but cannot keep throwing points away like this. On Saturday we have a very important match with Napoli and must think about winning it. “I am disappointed at missing the spot-kick, but I am a penalty taker and so am not afraid to miss. If I should find myself on that spot again in future, maybe even against Napoli, I would not pull back. “I put all of myself into it. Unfortunately the ball went out, but I cannot say I gave it less than 100 per cent, as I practiced it in training.” Pato was jeered off the field after that miss and substituted at the break, but there were reports he was even surrounded and harassed by angry fans after the game. “It is impossible not to hear the whistles of the fans and I agree with them, as I know how tough it is for fans accustomed to great victories and important trophies. We are in a growth process and many champions left, so we are doing our best. I’m sure they are close to the team and will never leave us. “I read someone claimed the fans attacked my car when I was in it, but that’s just not true. I left San Siro the way I usually do and criticism is understandable, but not when they make stuff up.”Pato missed almost an entire season with muscular problems and has just returned to the field, but is lacking match fitness and sharpness. “I am back after a long time, but in a way I never left. I have always been here working hard and am back playing on the pitch, which is what makes me happy. When I reach 100 per cent, everything will be fine. “To those who say I am scared of hurting myself again, I reply that they don’t know me. The only time I was ever afraid was when I was 10 years old and risked losing an arm. “I have never felt so calm, as I am working well in a great squad with marvellous fans.” http://www.football-italia.net/27250/pato-...alties-and-fans
