Well, Cassano is two years older than Pazzini, is problematic, and just recently had a heart surgery, so his footballing future is still uncertain. That said, €7 million is way too much.

Wasn't the issue also that Cassano had only 12 months on his contract? 2 years older + causing problems + contract running out means Inter were always in the driving seat.

Anyways, since when was a deal's value decided on the day it's done? If Pazzini scored 15 goals this season and Cassano doesn't do much, gets injured and starts throwing a tantrum over there, I don't think it will be Inter who are doing all the laughing.

We'll see, your're just trying to put a best case scenario, and I could just as easily paint you a terrible one as well which would make the deal even more terrible than it already is, which would be shocking as I don't think we could have done any worse if we tried.

As for Pazzini, he just came off a shocker of a season at Inter, and he was unwanted there as well. I alse heard talk of his contract being terminated!! Inter are laughing all the way to the bank with this one.

As for Cassano vs Pazzini. Fundementally the only better attribute Pazzini has is finishing, on every technical and footballing level I can think of, Cassano is by far the superior player, no matter how you wish to view this. I know you like the guy, but the problem with us is that we have enough finishers on the team, we needed a creative player, so even in that aspect, the deal was just stupid.

Anyway, we'll see how this turns out at the end of the season. For our season's sake, I really hope you're right and I'm wrong on this matter

I know where you're coming from, han. You're pissed that we let go the only creative player we had in our team besides Montolivo. I feel you, since I love creative players as well. Constant, Emanuelson, Boateng, they don't even enter into that category. If there's one thing that our attack has lacked so far, that's vision and creativity. We have prima punta's and runners, but none of them are able to create that something out of nothing that Ibra and Cassano could.

That said, there was nothing we could do about Cassano. The guy wanted out no matter what. I absolutely agree €7 million was way too much, but it's not like we could have invested those money into someone better at that point.
