Yeah. Capello wants to get rid of him, cause they have too many forwards. Robinho, Van Nistelrooy, Raul, Cassano. They definitely have a better attack than ours.

Real Madrid started talks with AC Milan on Thursday to discuss a possible deal to take three-times World Player of the Year Ronaldo back to Italy this season.

Real agreed to meet Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and sporting director Ariedo Braida before their pre-season match against Anderlecht at the Bernabeu and talks are expected to continue late into the night.

"I don't think it will all be sorted out tonight," Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon told television station Cuatro. Club sources said they would not make an official announcement on Ronaldo's future until Friday.

The nine-times European champions are reported to want around $NZ50 million for the Brazil striker, who joined them for $NZ90 million from Milan's city rivals Inter in 2002.

Real are aiming to get a preferential option to buy Milan's Brazilian midfielder Kaka included in the deal.

Ronaldo, who will turn 30 next month, has notched up 100 goals since joining Real and has been top scorer in each of his four seasons at the club.

Real's signing of Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy from Manchester United and the arrival of Italian coach Fabio Capello may have paved the way for the move.

Hey guys, I was checking about Ronaldo and I noticed that he has scored 190 goals in 181 matches for Real since his arrival in 2002. That's pretty impressing, don't you think?

Ronaldo-Milan Deal Almost Sealed

Milan have reached an agreement with Ronaldo and are in the final stages of sealing the deal with Real Madrid.

The negotiations started soon after the final whistle of the friendly match between the Merengues and Anderlecht, which Fabio Capello's side won 2-1.

According to speculation, Real asked for 25 million Euros, whereas Milan are ready to arrive up till 22 million.

Ronaldo would net 7 million Euros per year for the next three years with an option for a fourth year.

The announcement of the probable transfer will be made either today or tomorrow

I saw that stat too.. I don't think its right. If it some how is than that is awefully impressive. Anyway regarding ronaldo.. transfer fee is bullshit, as is his current fitness and conditioning. My biggest concern is his injury problems, which hopefully isn't a recurring thing.

However, with the services of pirlo and kaka' he could put on a show since he's still deadly infront of goals. The question is can we get his fitness and conditioning up and about in a few weeks..

Channel 4.

Ronaldo is just hours away from leaving Real Madrid for Italian giants Milan, reports in Spain are suggesting.

Vice-President Adriano Galliani and director general Ariedo Braida flew to Madrid on Wednesday where the player confirmed his availability to wear the Rossoneri jersey.

The Milan officials then met Real chief Ramon Calderon before watching the Liga outfit defeat Anderlecht in the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy.

Meetings continued after the match and Spanish newspaper Marca reported that the two clubs were close to finalising a deal.

Real Madrid value Ronaldo at £17.8m whereas Milan have offered £15.7m, but a compromise is expected to be reached given the relatively low difference in valuation.

However, Galliani has confirmed that Real target Kaka will not be included in any swoop for the former Inter striker.

An agreement between the two clubs could be reached on Thursday and the Via Turati side are hoping Ronaldo will be in Italy by the end of the week.

Ronaldo has been paired with both San Siro clubs in the past few weeks following the arrival of Ruud Van Nistelrooy in the Spanish capital.

The Brazilian star spent six seasons at Inter before walking out in 2002 after the club returned him to full fitness.

Inter owner Massimo Moratti also fuelled talk of a possible move by admitting that Ronaldo was the best signing of his era as Nerazzurri owner.

However, it now seems that Milan will win this city derby after Inter pipped them to both Hernan Crespo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic earlier this summer.
