Never really got to play with all of our players available this season.

Isn't it obvious?

We were hugely handicapped by our injuries. Cassano alone would've made a lot of difference in some of those games.

No. First Jack says we mostly lost against harder opponents. Then you say it isn't true showing how we won against Roma and Arsenal. Then I give you our ration, and as soon as that happens you run to excuses.

As X-O said, the point stays, no matter how much excuses are at hand. Our roster isn't complete today as well. So what?

So does my point about the injuries.

I think the problem is a combination of all the factors but all you see and blame is Max, Max and Max.

Problem is, your point wasn't about injuries, it was about denying that we have a bad ratio with big teams.

And yes, it is a combination. But someone got to be blamed, and Max is the one who's the coach.

Who else is there to blame? The God who made all these injuries happen? The doctors? Surely, at some point, yes. But fact also remains that Milan has a capable squad with world class players, yet plays most of the season badly, sometimes unwatchable. Problem remains that the squad selection is almost every match questionable, and that when Milan slips, Allegri usually must change 2-3 things immediately. Problem is that he created a petrified system that is completely in-adaptable to any outside element - be it injuries, technical capabilities of players or different approaches of our opponents. Finally, I really think Allegri's training session has to do with at least 50% of our injuries.

Why am I not interested in this fixture?

Not feeling the derby vibes and not interested in the end result, as I see it Juventus have already won their fixture (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Jack said we never really won the big games and I pointed out the ones we did, listing their names.

And I'm a Milan fan before I'm an Allegri fan. what makes you think I saying injuries ruined our season is an excuse but you saying Allegri ruined our season isn't? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Inter have been crappy all season long but you still consider our game with them "big". there have been quite a few games this season with the same level of difficulty as the derby that we've won, but no one considers them big.

If we beat Inter tonight, it'll be something like "they're so bad, no big deal". if we lose, "yet another big games lost, off with Allegri's head" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Also I find one thing very funny, according to you the loss to Lazio is a big game lost but the win against Udinese (they're arguably better than Lazio) is not a big game won. isn't that contradictory?

You're now grasping to straws, but I must acknowledge your determination (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I don't get the question. To me, Allegri is the top reason, and I blame him partially for the injuries as well. That's it.

The Madoninna derby is always big, no matter what. The stakes make it even higher, considering both sides have much to loose. Did we play such matches this season? Under so much pressure, with only 1 match left to repair a mistake? I don't think so. At least not "quite a few".

You know me very well, and you know I'll celebrate the victory with spirit and won't act as you suggested.

Sorry, I made that error. So 1 more win in the win section. The difference is immense.

You have to be able to play with your best team consistently to form a winning mentality and gain momentum.

If it's proven that Allegri's training methods are the reason we have so many injuries, then yes, you can blame him as I will (just because you "think" doesn't mean its' true). but to blame him for not being able to win consistently with a squad that literally changed every few week, no. not in my book.

But my only option is to think. I don't know the conditions or the responsibility of MilanLab doctors. Even less then I know what's Allegri doing in training.

LOL, you pullin' my leg? I mentioned our injuries in that post. perhaps you didn't read it thoroughly.

QUOTE
Doubled Roma. beat Arsenal. robbed of a victory against Juve... and I don't think any of us expected us to beat Barca. you should say we have rarely com through in the big games not never.

If we beat Inter tonight we will have done well in the big games. given our injuries and all.

When did I run to excuses?

QUOTE

What I meant is that you think I'm trying to defend Allegri when I say injuries screwed us, whereas I really believe that is the main reason we came short in some big games. (I don't count the Barca meetings though. they were better than us, plain and simple.)

Well, technically speaking this game means as much to our Scudetto hopes as the Atalanta game or any other game with 3 points!

I think tonight's derby is big indeed. when we lost the last derby there was all the time in the world to recover 3 points, but now there isn't. which makes this much more a big game than that one.

Yep.. fair enough.

Same right now.

At this point it's hard to get excited. I just want this season from hell to be over with at this point. I certainly don't see Juve losing points against Cagliari.

Is it? You really wanna disregard the pressure of a city derby? You think Atalanta had the same motive and the same mental set as it will be the case with Inter. I disagree.

You didn't see Juve loosing to Lecce either. What's the point of making these predictions?

Still refuse to admit you got a bit wrong when you said I ran to excuses when I'd made that "excuse" from the very beginning. oh well...

They didn't lose (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

They only drew with Lecce because of an isolated mistake, can you really see that happening again?

To answer this question:

QUOTE
did we or did we not loose many points against the big ones?

Problem is league games rarely get as big as this derby or our 6-pointer with Juve. because as I said even if you lose to Juve in the first half of the season you still have time to recover. and technically a game with Juve or Inter means as much to the table as a game with Palermo or Napoli. most of our games with Roma, Inter and Juve are big only by name. especially when you think how much Roma and Inter have sucked. there's two exceptions which I mentioned above, tonight's derby (result remains to be seen) and the 6-pointer against Juve (drew, but robbed of a win).

Unlike league games are the CL games especially the knockout stages where one false steps means you're out. I think our games with Barca were big, so were our games with Arsenal.
