QUOTE (X-Offender @ Mar 4 2012, 03:47 PM) We haven't scored in the last three games there against Arsenal, ManU and Spurs. Baah, yes, you're right. Just somehow blocked the piss poor seasons in Europe under Leo and Allegri. Well, we used to do well in England.

6-8 NT captains in one team, man. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) Quality, left and right. So much quality that a lot of them seldom saw anything other than the bench. The man in your avatar. Even the kit was classy. Obviously, we're still strong (in more than one sense) now, but that era was an abundance of riches. The last great age. The team we have now, may yet do wonders, but can't match the one before it, or before that.

QUOTE However, no-one has ever managed to overturn a foul-goal deficit over two-legs in the Champions League. I hope Arsenal don't become the first team ever to do so. it's true that if we score 1 goal they'll need 6, and it sounds impossible, but the thing is if they manage to score an early goal things could get complicated as it's all about the psychological state of each team. we have enough experience in games like this to not succumb to their pressure, but you can never be sure. we were a great, experienced team when Deportivo eliminated us like that as well. To make it short, I'm a bit worried! it's one of those situations where I don't mind if we play a highly defensive game and hit them with counter attacks. once we score 1 goal, it'll be over for them, and we can aim for another big win.

If we lose this, I want Allegri tarred and feathered! If we get eliminated I want Silvio to go Roman Abramovich on his @ss.

QUOTE (Danny @ Mar 5 2012, 01:07 PM) We owned Arsenal in the first leg, and based on the score you'd say no chance of a comeback.
Problem is their form since then has been very good - they've beaten both Liverpool and Spurs.
That said our form's been bloody good too, should have beaten Juve and we've been free scoring otherwise.
The danger is Van Persie, of course - the most in form striker in England, and alongside Ibra possibly the most effective striker on Earth right now.
Mark him out and you'll nullify them completely - but I wouldn't take this for granted nonetheless.
Just as we assumed Istanbul was won at half time, we shouldn't assume this one's foregone either. Did you watch their games against Spurs and Liverpool or just the final scores? Because if not, let me tell you, they were absolutely awful against Liverpool. A huge mess in defence and I still cannot believe how terrible Liverpool are in front of goal, should have been 3-0 up by HT. And against Spurs they were again terrible in defence in the first half. And than for some reason Spurs just collapsed to give them the 2 gaols to level it up. Once they went all out attack, they just invited Walcott to keep running into huge wide open spaces, thus his 2 goals. We don't need to score. All we have to do is let them pass the ball around in meaningless areas and hit them on counter attacks. They're the ones who have to chase the game not us. And if we do get that away goal than it's all over.
