I think he doesn't want to risk anyone who isn't 100% fit ahead of the match of the season vs Juve. We can handle Cesena even with this squad, though it won't be easy.

Sure I understand that, but losing points in this one would defeat the purpose of resting players.

Also, playing a midfield of Muntari and Ambro is just inviting trouble onto us. Not to mention the fact that Nocerino will most likely start next to them. Can he pick a sh!ttier midfield if he actually tried?

But still, it's Cesena. Even our back-up line-up should beat a bottom team that only managed to earn 16 points so far. Is it really worth to risk Boateng for this game and then cry that he can't face Juve?

They beat us last season.

I never said risk Boateng, but playing a midfield like that is pound to create problems for us, especially if allegri comes up with the ultra brilliant idea to play Urby behind the strikers

AS other ppl have said they have a few good players that have, to date, been inconsistent.

even players like Guana, Von Bergen and Malonga are solid players.

They are very fast on the counter and have a squad of alot of talented attacking players.

I don't have any worries with Muntari, so long as he doesn't pick up an early yellow, i think he'll play a solid game.

They were better last season and it was in the beginning of the season while we were searching ourself. Even Lecce beat them at Stadio Dino Manuzzi this year.

Let's firts see who'd play and then complain. Without Boateng, Aqui, Seedorf, Pato and Ibra our better option would be to play Robinho behind Maxi and El Sha but then our only attacker on the bench will be Pippo. So there aren't many options available.

Still there is no point to playing both disasters at the same time in that midfield. There's bound to be a screw up somewhere, and knowing us, we'd get punished for it

Imo, given all those injuries I'd go with this, and so should Allegri if he wants all 3 points



We all know he's going to start Ambro so no point complaining about it, but Muntari next to him would just be stupid, especially if Nocerino is also starting on the left

As i said, they are proven performers, whether they perform or not remains to be seen, but with all that talent/experience, they might cause us some trouble.

I would also choose your line-up but my guess is Allegri wants to keep at least one capable offensive player on the bench that can change/strengthen our game when needed in the second half.

Playing there made Urby look like a complete tool to a lot of people. Simply because he's terrible in that position, but he's gained a lot of praise for his recent performances in midfield, especially against the gooners. Displacing him now would be a huge mistake, not only would we lose him from a position where he's actually very good in, but he'll be placed in a position where he sucks @ss and is more of a passenger in the team
