QUOTE (Jack Bauer @ Feb 16 2012, 08:47 PM) *
He's box to box midfielder, so it's duty to do both. He always made those runs, it's part of his game. He told in an interview that Zdeněk Zeman taught him that at Avellino.

15 Best Box-to-Box Midfielders in the World Right Now Nice to see that he's appreciated.

He's still a more defensively inclined player. like Boateng is box-to-box but more on the attacking side of the spectrum.

Nocerino's main goal is still to break up plays in midfield so that VB can sweep up behind him. He makes smart runs into the box when the opportunity arises. But he's just not an attacking player. And saying that Urby is better defensively is a sin imo

I'm shocked. Idunno why, because it's not like I expected anything else, but still... shocked how you (guys) don't see it. Emanuelson has done so much defense work, that it's an insult to Urby, or you are not paying attention to him.

Anywho. I'd say Nocerino is an attacking minded box-to-box midfielder, and Boateng an attacking midfielder.

Boateng is in no way, shape or form an attacking midfielder. Certainly not in the traditional sense of the word.

And how can Nocerino be an attacking minded box-to-box?? I will never understand your reasoning and what you see in him that makes you think as such.

And Urby is better defensively? Sure he covers spaces well and does a lot of running, but when have you seen Urby recovering a ball or winning it off of someone? Those are the 2 main factors which define a defensive minded player. Something that Nocerino accomplishes in every game btw

That's what was people expected when he came but in reality he's playing like a classical 50-50 guy. I don't see the point of the pointless attack-defence argument, he's both.

All the time !!

Noerino rarely... at least way less often

So what not in the traditional sense of the word? That's whatever talk to me.

But eh.... doesn't Prince play at AM for us? And shines in it? How's that not an AM?

At first I thought Nocerino was defensive minded too, but later when I saw Emanuelson in midfield I noticed a huge difference in defending. Emanuelson defends way more and much better. And because of that, Aquilani can be more decisive, instead of being the main one helping Van Bommel. Emanuelson and Van Bommel, will keep the Aquilani assist machine (he started well in assists but later he was playing deeper and deeper because of Nocerino attacking mind).

Wait...how did you prove your point again?

Why the **** are you talking about prove?

You are by far the most annoying member here. Everytime when having a discussion you suddenly shows up with those annoying replies that shows zero respect to me each time.

There actually are stats that ''proves'' my point, but I hoped our own eyes see it better than silly stats. I guess not.

I think you're the one showing a lack of respect, your reply was simply unnecassary.

Please show us these stats that you speak of though.

He's good, sometimes great; yet he isn't the regular or classic AM. He's a great fill-up for the position, yet his movement and his passing overall isn't what an AM should be.

I don't get why you disregard Nocerino's defensive work. Ball interception aren't all; he makes tactical fouls, he covers enough space; the bigger problem is that he isn't ordered to do the classic DM stuff.

I know, but I have no respect for him to offer..

I've seen them on the Red & Black Forums. A while back... if I can find them I will post them, I guess... but I may not, since I don't like it at here and may stop posting. Fillipo annoys me too much time after time, it makes me act mean.

How should I respond to this post?

Why am I talking about proving a thesis? Isn't it self-explanatory. What you think we see Milan matches through your eyes? Sorry, if you wanna convince me Nocerino isn't defensively good, and Emanuelson is - then you gotta give me something to hold on.

But fine, if you don't wanna me shows up again in discussion, I'll certainly survive it.

I really don't get you or your problem!

Filippo is one of the most respected members on this board and he asked you a legit question as you're seemingly the only member that sees this from Nocerino

If you can't handle someone questioning your reason than why did you sign up on a discussion forum?
