Plus, they severely lacked creativity in the middle of the pitch, no Fabregas, no Nasri. I do wonder how it would have been against another, more powerful team.

Don't get me wrong, immense win, and perfect implementation from the coach and the players. But how much of it is due to the fact that we were allowed to dictate our terms and got away with it? Thats the $16,000 question.

Its funny how quick you guys change sides. It was only a couple of days ago that everyone was saying lets kick him out and get capello and now after a result like this we jump back on his d!ck.



Like i've always said, Allegri has not done anything this year to warrant a sacking. We've done well in champions league and the league. We would be first but Juventus is also having a great year and it makes it more difficult because we are in 2 competitions while they are only in 1.

I guarantee that next year when Juventus is in the champions league they will not dominate like they are doing now.


Allegri's style is not pretty but its effective. He's proven it can get results and at the end of the day thats what we are after, so we should support him and let him do his job.

from reading some of the posts here from match days, I wonder sometimes if its our manager that is clueless...or is it that serie A is just that competitive of league that even the bottom table teams will give you a difficult time.

Hey guys just dropped in to say CONGRATS and GREAT WIN!!!!
While the 4-0 is impressive I must say that the “0” impresses me more than the “4”. Despite my opinion of him, I give Allegri 95/100 for his ownperformance. Make no mistake, our stifling of Arsenal was LARGELY down to HIS tactics. Allegri has been uncharacteristically impressive for these last two games (he must not be feeling too well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ).

The way he handled Arsenal’s wide play still has me smiling a day later. Robinho thrives in these kinds of fast paced games and Al took full note and for once didin’t squander his talent resources. You have no idea how happy I was about the decision. Convetional wisdom and fan optimism might have tempted most to put El Shaarawry but he hasn’t the pace and guile Mr Robson has and, if you’ll forgive the horrendous stereotype, English team defenders have no clue how to deal with Brazilian attackers. El will definitely get his chance but now he has the benefit of looking at past successful examples.

Now for the things that need to be said. This is the same squad that most claim isn't good enough to compete and that our midfield is too uncreative. Granted we still need a lot of work in that department but this result against a (arguably) top side just goes to show how much Al has underperformed with Milan of late (pre injury era mostly). The Milan that we CAN be and the Milan that we usually are are worlds apart due to Allegri, notwithstanding Arsenal's tactical dearth.

He did underpreform earlier on though, but only partly his fault.

Boateng at AM makes it work (pace, movement and so on), Seedorf at AM not (too slow and so on).

We really need to sign a player who can do a similar job to Boateng. Previous month's Lazio target Honda could.

Don't think you can really compare the two...

We'll see what happens, but with Monto wrapped up for next summer, I can see the management fully concentrating on bringing Tevez (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

That would be a shame, because then we still will be reliable on Boateng, and that's a bad thing.

I fear you're right though. It's likely we'll skip on signing an AM.

I think El Sharaawy can easily slip into that position, plus Montolivo plays there for the Azzurri as well, so it wouldn't be all bad

Montolivo doesn't offer what I ask from our AM like Boateng and Honda do. I prefer Montolivo as LCM anyway.

El Shaarawy, I first need to see him given the chance to play as our AM to judge, but he could.

Monto would be playing in the midfield 3, he hasn't really been that good for italy in the trequartista role.

You talk as if Honda plays for us and has already proved himself. The guy is Lazio material at best.

I think Urby deserves some recognition. He was widely criticized as below Milan level but he has really settled in. He looks much more cinfident on the ball, has good pace, makes solid runs, and has made some good passes. Perhaps he isn't starter quality yet but he is certainly a good substitute. He just needs to work on his shooting haha.

LOL, he's better than most of our midfielders, if not all. Two at most aren't worse than him, one of them being Van Bommel who most likely will join PSV in Summer.

I'd take a MvB-Noce-Aqua-Boa midfield over replacing any one of them with Honda any day.
