Cassano isn't in good shape atm, but come on! Cut the guy some slack, he just had a kid, and it's not like it's been 6 months or something like that, it's just been 2 months or so (during which he's been on his deserved summer break), he'll get into shape as pre-season draws on and the new season begins.
People have been gaining up on him for not looking that good against Bayern, but aside from a few players (which I can count on one hand) nobody looked good, pre-season has only just started, getting back into fitness will take time. As for Cassano's weight, I don't think he'll ever get to the weight he was during his early 20s before going to Real, what really matters is his match fitness, and like I said he'll get that with time, like the rest of the players who have been on holiday for the summer and are looking sluggish

You've gotta balance your family life and work out, what does he want maternity leave ? Cassano does have individual talent no doubt, but at the current state of our midfield much like dracoris was saying sacrificing cassano for montolivo and signing Mr X would be ''crazy not to go for''

Cassano does have individual talent no doubt, but at the current state of our midfield much like dracoris was saying sacrificing cassano for montolivo and signing Mr X would be ''crazy not to go for'' The fact is that his kid is around 3 months old and Cassano was on his summer holiday, so again, I'll cut him some slack for the time being, if we're in the winter and he's still looking like he can barely run, then we'll talk about it I think you're giving a lot of credit to Montolivo, the player who usually disappears in any important match and in reality isn't that good. I'd sacrifice Cassano only for someone a lot better who would take us to the next level, Montolivo is certainly not that.

QUOTE (vahid @ Aug 1 2011, 12:13 PM) Oh my. I hope not. 2 nutcases are already enough. This is when we'd really have to get rid of Cassano, I can't imagine these 2 in the same team, sh!t would seriously hit the fan then

QUOTE (il_diavolo_mtl @ Aug 1 2011, 05:27 PM) ordinarily i would agree but that would create way to much competition at Fwd while our sh*tty midfielders will jog around and never link play. Not unless Cassano and Paloschi will leave, which I'm pretty sure will happen. QUOTE (Dracoris @ Aug 1 2011, 05:58 PM) How does Aquilani on loan sound? Thats the word on Twitter currently. Buy for 6m next year.
Sounds great, just still need to purchase Mr. X after this. +1 QUOTE (acid911 @ Aug 1 2011, 06:29 PM) Agreed on both counts. Particularly the need to purchase that illusive big buy after it. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Though on paper, getting a mediocre or injury-prone midfielder is still better than not getting any at all. As long as we buy Aquilani now, and finalize a deal for Ganso in January, our midfield will be miles better than what it is in now. +1

I'd take this scenario as plausible: Cassano + money for Montolivo, then Paloschi out on loan, then Balotelli in on loan. That sounds possible to me, but it would be a nightmare. We'd loose two good players for a average midfielder and a mental case.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 2 2011, 01:44 AM) We'd loose two good players for a average midfielder and a mental case. That's the only reason why that scenario is not plausible for me. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) That mental case alone is going to cause no amount of havoc here in Milan. Add the other hotheads in the mix (Mexes, Ibra, etc) and that is a good a recipe for disaster as any. I know, I know, a lot of our enigmatic "Ego" players behaved in the first year, including MvB, but still. I don't want to see Clash of the Titans in the Milan camp, more so with senior players leaving (already left).

Off all players, I wouldn't include van Bommel in it. He's a wild tackler sometimes, but just like Flamini, that's about it. No real controversy. At Bayern, where he played for years, he had only one or two bigger incidents.
