What can I say. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Long gone are the days when we had the best Brazilian contingent in Italy. Now the only two people I care for are Pato and Silva, at least both are champions. inter meanwhile is lucky to have the epic defensive trio, and frankly that played the biggest part in their recent success.

Very true, Han. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) inter's lot is past their peak, while we can still hope for better and bigger things from both Pato and Silva. A good position to be in, if you ask me. It always is a good feeling when Milan buys NT-worthy players, they usually are a safe bet than the ones that are not called up for their national teams.

Right. I got the 4 goals I was asking for, but not in the way I wanted them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Brazil equalize late to make it 2-2 when they were leading by 1 goal. Two Paraguayan veterans, and my favorite players Santa Cruz and Haedo Valdez with two goals, and then the substitute Fred with the late one.

Can't say I am too pleased with the performance of the Brazil team, but still it was a good enjoyable match.

Yes, it was. But overall, I'm very disappointing by Brazil. Menezes seems to be the Brazilian version of Batista.

Overall, three favorites, 6 matches played, 6 draws, none of them very convincing. Uruguay also pissed me off yesterday, they're really trying hard to emulate and surpass Brazil. Forlan looks like an empty bottle, their fullbacks suck, while the central defender pairing also isn't reliable when it comes to precise passes and positioning. Their midfield is even worse then Milan's, only muscles. I don't get why Tabarez doesn't trust Gargano that much.

Silva was his usual commanding self, but let down by his defensive partners, particularly Alves. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Pato was pretty much non-existent, unsurprisingly as that punk (Neymar) got in his way more than once in the box. Robinho was on the bench as expected. I'd give Milan players 4/10 for the above reasons - little impression on the match.

Why did I think this was a late game. Urgh, and after I've watched what seems 5 hundred hours of the most boring football I've ever seen in my life, I miss the one game that was half worth watching. fml.

I don't know about you guys but I thought Ganso did well. of course, he can't do it all by himself in that pathetic Brazilian team and expecting that from him is plain wrong. at Milan he'd play in a much better midfield especially if Hasmik is brought as well. last night he did show quite a few flashes of brilliance, like his assist for Fred's goal. bear in mind almost everyone played a mediocre game last night, from Silva and Lucio to Alves to Pato. the likes of Neymar and Ramires and Jadsen were beyond mediocre. they were at some points embarrassing (I know Jadsen scored a good goal! but apart from that he was absolutely dreadful and that's why he was substituted at HT).

Anyway, this Ganso kid really reminds me of Zidane. his movements, his vision, the way he dribbles, passes, etc. even his pace (or lack of it!). wouldn't mind him at all.

I don't think it is fair to judge Ganso on his recent NT form. He has had a very good year with Santos, which has brought his name to the European markets ..

Kaka never really shined with Brazil, neither has Messi with Argentina.

It was Lucio who missed the man because he was a step slow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) And of course that guy (Dan Alves) was IMO the reason for both goals, particularly the 2nd one where instead of giving away a corner, he tried something special by keeping the ball in. Pathetic, beyond pathetic. Beyonder even, if it were a word.

Silva and Lucio had a little exchange of words though late into the 2nd half when Brazil's defense disappeared.


True enough. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) But I think the guy still has miles to go to become world class. Now it's just silly tricks and crispy cuts. On the bigger European stage he'll need to turn up the creativity up a few notches to really stamp his authority on the proceedings. Still, as I said before, he has all the required ingredients for the job.


Respectfully disagree on the Kaka bit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) The Brazilian has had NT success beyond Messi's wildest dreams, this much I can say having watched all three (Kaka, Cristiano and Messi) on the country front for many a matches. Granted, the Argentinian has been unlucky on a few occasions, but I can safely say his NT form is a fraction of his club form.

There have been matches where he has been even worse than Dani Alves for Brazil, totally different and non-existent.
