QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Jun 24 2011, 09:04 PM) And what can Pirlo do better? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) His hair. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Jun 24 2011, 09:45 PM) Ganso isn't even 1/3 of what Pirlo is now but he'll develop into a monster in a few years. Really? Pirlo was/is a great midfielder, but as i said Ganso has more talent and more skills than Andrea ever had.

Football is about winning and that's why every team have different players. Goalkeepers and defenders to protect the goal, midfielders as glue between defence and attack, which have to score, in order to win a game. Some people rate strikers higher than midfielders and defenders just because they score goals, and I don't agree with that. Pirlo is unique, has perfect technique, vision and passing. Some average people rate him, based on goals he scored or based on how attacked he destroyed, and that's not cool. He's a playmaker, a rare one, if you want him to work, you need two other midfielders to support him, and to create space. You can't expect him to dribble like Messi, or run like Ronaldo, but I always expect a great pass ar long ball from him, and in my opinion he's the best at it. That's the type of football I want to see, and if you don't like that, it's your opinion !

That's the type of football I want to see, and if you don't like that, it's your opinion ! One or two great passes in a game doesn't make up for all his flaws(mistakes) in a game. For some reason Pirlo fans only see his great passes, but for some reason don't notice his flaws. You'd expect those who love Pirlo so much keep an eye on him. Point being: even a playmaker needs to do more than just playmaking, and no, not dribbling like Messi, but at least not losing possession over and over again, slowing down the game also not welcome, fail to help the defense properly when needed... besides of the few amazing passes, what does he do? Not much. And the price we pay for those few passes per match is a lot of flaws and therefore insecurity, resulting in conceding goals, and losing points eventually. We're better off with a 35 year old Seedorf than we're with Pirlo. Seriously. And that says enough. Seedorf actually does way more than Pirlo. Seedorf minds to defend much more and all, and is a more attacking threat (wait, Pirlo is that not at all, nor is he strong in defending - WHAT can he do besides passing?? Taking free-kicks? Not anymore), and not as easy to bully with. Of course, only when Seedorf feels like it though... And I'm not one of those goalscoring lovers. I rather praise a defender or defensive midfielder than a striker.

Would you, for the argument's sake, answer my question(s) to you?

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jun 24 2011, 09:18 PM) I like your logic. It's as simple as 1+1. How should I answer this? QUOTE When you put it that way, sounds like it's as simple as one, two, three. Or this? QUOTE And also, do you think it's Pirlo's job to come up with a solution to this tactical problem? You think that Pirlo was the problem? And not maybe the fact that when we had Kaka and Seedorf in peak we'd easily come over that problem, and it happened to occur more often towards the end, when Kaka was gone and Seedorf declined? No? It's only Pirlo's fault. I blame Pirlo for his flaws, yes. And since he keeps having them, I would blame coach for playing him, but praise the man, he got rid off him. QUOTE Okay, let me ask you one simple question then - how many times did you watch Ganso play to be so easy with the answer who's better now? Often enough to like him over Pirlo.

QUOTE Often enough to like him over Pirlo. How many is often? How many is that anyway? QUOTE I blame Pirlo for his flaws, yes. And since he keeps having them, I would blame coach for playing him, but praise the man, he got rid off him. Unbelievable, but I got used to your opinion. So, you expect everyone to be flawless? Those other quotes weren't questions.

Naah, you don't need to say how often, you can simply make it up anyway, there's no way we can know.
But Jack is saying something which is easily overheard by you. Brazil is not Italy, Copa Libertadores isn't Champions League. When you said Ganso is better then Pirlo at this moment, you simply recognized yourself as biased in that matter. How low do you rate Pirlo nowadays? He's worse then Rino, isn't he?

Those other quotes weren't questions. Nooooooooooo, I don't expect flawless players, but Pirlo got too many of them. We just disagree. I don't expect most people to agree with me. And you expect me to count how often I watch a player? I haven't watched him a lot, but it's obvious I don't rate Pirlo much, so it should be no shocker I prefer Ganso over him.

Actually, I always thought that there's a minimum limit on how low a person can declare something without any ground or can say something that's not true, now I see I'm wrong again, there's no limit. But hey, just like Pirlo said, in the end of other season, we will see who made a mistake, Milan for showing the door to Pirlo, or Pirlo for accepting Juve's offer.

Ok, let's say we don't transfer anyone else this summer, what do you think, who will replace Pirlo ? And when I say Pirlo, I mean someone that can acutally make good passes and create an action out of nothing.

QUOTE (d'Arc.LP @ Jun 24 2011, 10:45 PM) Yeah, obviously it doesn't fit your argument. I don't follow... QUOTE Ok, let's say we don't transfer anyone else this summer, what do you think, who will replace Pirlo ? And when I say Pirlo, I mean someone that can acutally make good passes and create an action out of nothing. Irrelevant. We will sign a replacement for Pirlo. Come on. You really think Milan will continue without? But to answer your question: Seedorf. I prefer Seedorf over Pirlo, but only when Seedorf feels like playing. Seedorf is far someone who you can rely on though. I actually wanted to him leave too, but alright, as backup for the newbie it's not that bad. There will be a new player, and he will be miles better for Milan that Pirlo has been in his latest years with Milan. That's talk about the CM position. In front of the defense Van Bommel and Ambrosini are excellent, and thank God we won't ever see Pirlo there anymore in Milan's shirt. Of course, I know most of you don't like to see him there also. The new signing who we for sure will get will be a CM of course. One who will do a much better job than Pirlo. How can I tell? I just don't rate Pirlo when it comes to a Milan player in the present (nor future).

QUOTE Seedorf. I prefer Seedorf over Pirlo, but only when Seedorf feels like playing. Ridiculous! You count Pirlo's flaws and mark him negatively, but at the same time rate a player that has a flaw almost as big as his own @ss above Pirlo!! WOW!
