Milan are very close to reaching an agreement with Genoa for the co-ownership of Stephan El Shaarawy.

I wish that if theres truth to the "late august" timeline, that G dismisses that. Any new player we sign should be here for the entire pre-season. It would be very beneficial.

All too well, I say. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I miss the old days with big skirmishes here on Milanfan, but truth be told, the forum of today is quite boring with everyone agreeing or (respectfully) disagreeing.

+1, the activity going down is quite disappointing it's a shame some members have decided to stay away because their views have been ignored etc.

Jack V Kurt is always good fun about LeBron though (check the NBA thread for our entertainment (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) ok I'm a mod not meant to spur those things on.

But yeah, a few new posters certainly wouldn't go a miss, been good to see a couple of newbies pop up and post of late, hopefully we will get a few more. If we sign Fabregas I'm sure we will "oi, cesc is rubbish we don't care, we have bendtner, come on you goooonnnerrrs" We enjoyed the Spurs fans didn't we (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Somebody please call back Giancarlo. I miss him!

Truth to be told, he's kind of a troublemaker.

Be careful what you wish for, cause you could get it...

[P.S. seems like someone isn't following the NBA thread closely]

Timeline? What's that a JJ Abrams movie we're in?

I thought the guy was a striker, but apparently he's an attacking midfielder. Good deal, we'll need him.

Kurt vs. Captain, this I can't miss. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Will check it out surely in a moment. I'm so not into the whole N-Sports thingies, just a casual viewer if it is on TV. NBA, NHL, Baseball, and Rugby. Heck I have never even watched a full IPL (cricket) match. I think it's the franchises that turn me off, or maybe something else, but it's one of those things you know about, but never invest time, so much so that they get away from you. Totally.

Like I said as long as it is civil, some banter is always nice. The last one I saw was Danny vs the English, but that one died a quick death after Kurt decided to edit his posts (I was a few minutes too late there). LOL.

Agreed. It will be worth it just for the fun of attracting a few Gunner fans. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/king.gif) Yeah, the couple of Spurs one were fun. Also agree on the new blood part, good to see a whole bunch of active new members. We need more of them, as much as we need the old guard back.

Truth to be told, he's kind of a troublemaker.

Most definitely he is, I was only kidding. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) But he's our best bet, heck I even had high hopes from Drucurl (who like a few other members mentioned in his intro that he was a hothead). Sometimes I think this place is cursed, most of the active users here are kind and understanding. And those who aren't keep their views to themselves.

But then again, that is a good thing, I never signed up for any other Milan/football forum, other than this!

Most definitely not. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) When I hit the "View New Posts" button, I actively don't open the NBA and other threads. Not because I don't like the sports, I am just not into them.

Thank God we're not after Pastore. I'd sh!t myself if Zamparini would be playing with us like that.

Oh, nah it's Jack Bauer not the crazy-mod! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Yeah we have a few posters who commonly post about it, NFL gets a lot of love when it's actually the season, NBA/NHL more so in the play-offs but it's been quite dominant to the NBA side of things. Keeps the discussions varied I guess, to a point!

Anyway, I did post earlier but it was casually swept by, is there any truth in the Drogba to Milan rumours, I've heard nothing much on here about it just the Cesc, Ganso, Hamsik etc.

Cool. And very true, keeps the discussions varied. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/king.gif) For better or for worse, I can't join because I know diddlysquat about the sports (know how they are played, rules and everything) but teams and player details, no siree! It just doesn't float my root beer. I visited the NBA thread just now, and I almost had my head spinning.

But yeah as long as it keeps the forum varied and more importantly moving, it's all good.

I'd personally put it at 0%, in all probability. Just like how the Klose rumor turned out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I don't think Milan has (or wants to have) anything to do with him at this point in time. We have a youngster or two coming up, Inzaghi is still here, and frankly, Drogba is just not the player he was a couple of years back (trust me, I have seen more than my fair share of Chelsea matches this season).

I personally think Cesc is the guy Riola is working on. Ganso is what the club is working on. And that's that.

Oh we know. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) In fact, almost the whole (footballing) world is off topic right now, I surely do hate the silly season and the countless streams of rumors and stupid journalism. In fact, the only day of transfer windows I do like is the last one. Sure, it's fun to see who goes where and for how much, but still.

Oh yes, sorry we were discussing something as well as Drogba, that people looked over before.

I do apologise though, anyway my mums, neighbours, brothers, sisters, aunties, best mates, nephews, nieces, dads, wifes, cousins sisters post man is a really, really big Milan fan and he was told by his taxi driver that Cristiano is signing a deal with us imminently.

I don't have a source, oh actually it's twitter.

Actually, in a way or another there are some of us who enjoy rumours (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . That's why they opened [Summer Transfers 2011] topic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/96.gif)

Awww, it's cute how people react when they feel melancholic.

EDIT:

Oh and btw , all of rumors and news I've posted (which had twitter as source), got posted by sites like MN or TMW. I think that's a good way of getting information. I follow journalists that work for footballitalia, milannews, etc. They usually post news in twitter, than they post it on the sites, so if you have a problem with that, go to sleep and wake up in September, when transfer market is closed.

Jeez buddy I was only messing around!

I didn't mean to cause offence, I like reading yours, X-off's, Blue's posts it keeps us all updated when we don't have the time or the ability to translate/scour the web for transfer news ourselves.

Anyway, I agree Acid, about Drogba I wouldn't take him at all. Just don't see what he offers us, didn't we have this whole massive rumour a couple of years back about him?

AC Milan & Genoa agree co-ownership deal for Stephan El Shaarawy - report
Italian reports suggest both Serie A clubs have struck another deal following the Alexander Merkel business as the young talent El Shaarawy heads towards San Siro

Jun 15, 2011 3:00:00 PM
AC Milan have captured Genoa playmaker Stephan El Shaarawy on a €6 million joint ownership deal.

Sky Sport Italia claims Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, and Genoa president Enrico Preziosi struck the accord on Tuesday.

El Shaarawy recently revealed he dreamed of joining Milan and is now said to be speaking with the Serie A champions to finalise his contract

He was on loan at Padova last term, but will be expected to link up with the San Siro outfit once the deal is complete.

It will be the club's third transfer of the summer following moves for Philippe Mexes, and Taye Taiwo.

Earlier, it was reported that Genoa signed 19-year-old midfielder Alexander Merkel in a similar deal.
