QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 19 2011, 12:48 PM) Different ideas. Pirlo wants to play in front of the defense, Allegri wants him on the left. We didn't want to let him go, it's Pirlo who wants to leave. From the comments being made I really don't think so. I think Pirlo is fine playing left of midfield. Allegri just doesn't think he fits in anywhere in the midfield which is complete cr@p imo Why a sane man would want to leave the champions to the imploding team called Juve is beyond me

Pirlo only wants to stay as an important first team player, and we should not want that, and Allegri actually didn't, which is good, and lots of respect to Allegri, and so Pirlo will leave, which, to be honest, is in my opinion a blessing for Milan. Now, we can sign a replacement for Pirlo, a player that is obvious better for Milan than Pirlo has been for years now. Good riddance, seriously, beautiful this.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 19 2011, 02:57 PM) What comments? Allegri has said many times that he trusts Pirlo. His departure comes solely from his will to leave. We would have kept him no problem otherwise. When has Allegri said this? Tassotti practically spelled it out for everyone 2 weeks ago that Pirlo does not fit into Allegri's plans. Pirlo has said that he would like to stay on multiple occasions, I don't even think the club even offered him a new deal...

QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 19 2011, 02:05 PM) I've seen many interviews where he considered Andrea as an important assest. I don't buy the scenario that Milan wanted Pirlo out. For me, it will always be the opposite. Either way, I think it's a good move, so now we can finally sign a quality creative mid. It's only a good move if we sign someone better then Pirlo. If we don't then it's a terrible decision, especially if our only solution come next season will ounce again, be Seedorf

QUOTE (acid911 @ May 19 2011, 04:26 PM) I do hope Gattuso leaves. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) And we get some extra $$$ to splash on a new player. Just like Pirlo, who should have been sold to Chelsea last season for a nice 15-20 million. Even Seedorf who if leaves will be leaving for free. WTF is that all about. You buy players for millions and then let most of them leave for free. Oddo will have to be dragged out, Janku left for free. Ambro if he retires here will also not net us anything in return. Not everyone is Paolo Maldini or Nesta, and the club should have sold them when they had the chance. Good point, acid. For me the only reason why I would be happy with Gattuso's leaving is because it's a crazy amount of cashing in for someone his age. Milan should have sold Pirlo when we still could have cashed in on him. (PS. sorry for my earlier double post, accident)
