Oh, don't get me wrong, I want him gone. I wanted him gone 3 years ago.

As I've said I have no problem with people leaving to do with ambition like Sheva or Kaka'. Sheva has since gone to a club he cares about. Rino seemingly doesn't care about anything but money. You don't see the problem? There is no problem, I'm just allowed an opinion.

Really? You think Kaka and Sheva didn't leave because of money? Man, be realistic! You said they used a "excuse" - and that's exactly what it was - a excuse to leave for money. Kakas and Shevas place in Milan was secure, while Rino as at his end and he alone sees that there are better midfielders out there to take his spot.

In the end - who are we to judge people for doing something "for the money"? Sorry, it's easy to be moral when nothing is in there for you. Why don't we just let him leave?

If Kaka' left for money, he'd have gone to City on £500k a week or whatever they were offering, so no, it wasn't purely a money thing. They both went to ambitious clubs who were desperate to win. Can you say the same about Milan in recent years? We've been far too comfortable sitting in 3rd/4th and hoping for a CL run.

I'm allowed an opinion and it's nothing about being 'moral'.

Here comes the "opinion card"... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Sure, I didn't say anything different.

Not for nothing but the fact we destroyed inter with a decimated Midfield i think we may have just got Ganso's attention. The fact he would fight for a spot in blue and start with us on top of that is pretty cool.

Well hopefully he sees it the way you do.

If I'm Gattuso I have two choices. A) I can go home and tell my wife and kids I am now unemployed or B ) I just got a promotion and am making 6-8 MILLION DOLLARS MORE per year.

Disagreed.

Not too sure about Sheva, but Kaka was basically kicked out by the management. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) They saw him as a goldmine and sold him to balance their books. Talk about loyalty. And some fans still consider their actions traitorous. Shevchenko basically left because he wanted to reunite with his old friend (that Chelsea owner guy).

Can't really blame any of these players, the least of all Kaka. It was B&G all the way, like it or not.

but Kaka was basically kicked out by the management

This is one of the most spreaded myths I've encountered in modern Milan history. I don't think he was kicked out, I think his circle (read: wife, agent, dad, etc.) pushed him to make the deal or get more money out of Milan and this was the main reason. It was obvious that Kaka won't end his career at Milan, so it was only a question of when - at top form and price or worse. In the end, it was a great move by our management.

And I get the argument for Kaka - he also left because Real offered more ambition.
Shevchenko left at a moment where Milan still played a important role - and had major ambitions.

Oh well, maybe someday either of these players, or Galliani himself will write a book. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) Maybe even some of the other players. And then we can get an idea of the inside truth. It's basically hard to wade through all the fan and media speculation and whatnot when it comes to matters like these.

Still I'll very much agree that it was a great move by our management. Financially speaking, at least.

Anyway, here's my suggestion:

Let's leave Ganso's licitation party and get us the 18 year old Mario Götze instead!

Depends, I think Sneijder maybe off in the summer, so he would most likely have a good chance of starting (if he's ready).

About the whole loyalty thing, it still makes little to no sense. The only time people really kick up a real fuss about all of this is if they're good. Players transfer in football that's the way it is and we never were the ones responsible for Sheva or Kaka, i.e. through the youth setup so I really don't get it. Maldini is an extreme exception, sorry but he is, certainly in this day and age of football.

So if Pirlo goes in the summer, whilst he can potentially still offer us something we should deem him a traitor too, I mean really?

Don't you remember what happened with Shevchenko? I mean, you're acting like you don't. How can this be compared? Did Pirlo ever say: "I will end my career with Milan" or put himself by the side of Maldini and Billy?? There's no real reason to make a comparison.

Mario Götze is B. Dortmunds AM mostly responsible for their new success.
