QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Mar 26 2011, 05:04 AM) The team we had in the early-mid 2000s should've made anyone roadkill.. not with Carlo in charge. Word. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) That was one scary squad, legends, NT captains (I think there were at least six of them here with us, Paolo, Cafu, Sheva, Šimić, Tomasson and Kaladze), around three pure #10s, young guns and old veterans. If things went right with the coach and the management, we could have had 20 titles and our 2nd star on the shirt. Now I dread inter may get it before us. Hopefully not, but that was one missed opportunity at the start of the decade with the team we had assembled.

Calciopoli. And we're inclinded to forget that Juventus had a fantastic side and great coaches too. Why does it always get to the same point? We had a brilliant and remarkable team, yet lost because of Carletto and stupid management? Don't you think it's a bit shallow?

They surely should have been able to rack up all the trophies that were up for grabs, no?

Ah, there's no point in arguing. Carletto will remain the coach with a staggering one scudetto.

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Mar 26 2011, 07:02 PM) I was just gonna bring that up. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Since it also brings up the 'any coach could win with that team' argument. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Well, in 4 years Del Bosque won 2 league titles and 2 European Cups. So probably not the strongest arguement. In any case, I fail to see what relevance it has. Where has anyone said that the Madrid squad shouldn't have won more? I think most of the coaches that've followed Del Bosque have been pretty poor, I fail to see what that has to do with Milan and Carlo? Fillipo mentioned in a prev ious post that Juventus had a great side. They did, yet in 2 years there Carlo won nothing. A decade at Milan/Juve and he won 1 league titles.. yet Allegri gets criticised because it's the players winning the title! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Yeah, because the team we have now is better than what Carlo had.

Interesting manipulation, but it failed (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Mar 27 2011, 01:40 AM) EDIT: Not worth it. Really can not be bothered. Sorry, but oviously I was not talking of the squad Ancelotti managed at Juventus. It was a period of crisis at Juve and had nothing to do with the later success with players like Trez, Thuram, Cannavaro, Buffon. Different teams.
