I think it is important that we win something this season. That can also maybe get us going. It was too long since World Cup win now.

We won a lot? We haven't won a single trophy since 2007, when the players I'm referring to were four years younger. What should we say about them now? Oddo is 34, Jankulovski is 33, Gattuso is 33, Ambrosini is 34, Seedorf is 35, Inzaghi is 37 etc. We can't rely on these players anymore, whether you like it or not.

Meanwhile, we also cannot rely on players like Merkel. Meaning the current blend of both components (if all fit) is ideal.

Funny how the general sentiment suddenly changed from Play Merkel to Don't Play Merkel after one game.

I never was keen on Merkel. And if he should play, he must be employed as a trequartista. Side/box-to-box midfielder requires attributes which he physically and technically doesn't posses.

True, but be sure that when Pirlo and Ambrosini get fit, they'll start along with Gattuso, in a three-man midfield of over 30s. That's Allegri for you.

I really hope we "get rid" of one between Gattuso and Ambrosini this summer, and sign someone younger.

To date we haven't come back from a goal down to WIN. Although I hoped for the best against Tottenham deep down I knew that we wouldn't come back because Allegri doesn't strike me as an innovator. Hence it's difficult for him to effect a change on his own. It's even harder for him to make a change mid stream. Hence it's easier for him to improve the team for the next game but not within a single game and hence he's such crap at making subs in time to adequately change the game. He's just not creative and imaginative enough imho. The bells went off at his utter mismanagement of Ronaldinho. Year he's a lazy *** party boy etc etc we all knew that even before he came here. But if a n00b coach like Leo could have tamed the beast then there's no reason for him to be wasting our assets and as damaged as he was that's what Ron was. If things were a bit different that would have happened to Pato too.

I never said it once. It was pretty obvious he isn't ready, it's just that the Coppa match clouded some opinions.

As for Leonardo...please...say what you want, I consider Allegri an upgrade to Leo.
He has a better team then Milan right now, so let's see his magic please..

The age talk has been ever since the time with Ancelotti.
Milan has always as I recall had a high age squad, but been able to deal with it. Ambrosini is the new captain which I think he has done nice. Pirlo and Seedorf are 2 great long runners in the club.

It's a typicall italian thing. Just remember the WC teams. Every 4 years I hear comments how Italy sent an old and shabby team.

Blah. Thats all I have to say. We've dominated two games this week and come away with a draw in both. Luck is not with us.

Guys, back then all the talk regarding Milan's age was just a pass-time. We had a few elder players in Maldini, Costacurta, Cafu or Serghino, but nothing dramatic. Nowadays, it's a concrete problem. We have a considerable bulk of overaged players in all departments, especially in midfield. Hopefully Galliani will do something about it this summer. I'm confident.

tbh i could not care less how we win games as long as we just win them. As i said in the very beggining i'm not going to judge Max Allegri until the season is over.

I think half the people were joking, certainly I was (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

There are some old players now like Nesta, Seedorf, Pirlo. But these players have become so big in Milan that they I think will never be "set aside", probably allowed to finish in Milan if they want.
