You should see the Spurs forums.

They think it's a relatively easy draw and our ageing team won't get close to Bale & co. Pretty sure everyone in England has said that for the last 15 years, yet how many more European trophies/finals have we added since then...

That's what some mug on Sky Sports said. We've got an ageing midfield who've lost their legs and are poor at the back, WTF!?

Spurs team really isn't that good, only God knows how they're even in the CL. Just get in Bale's face and don't be scared of him, that's what teams in the EPL have been doing and what's he done in England? All his success has been in Europe where teams are too scared to go at him.

Some Spurs fans being typically giddy.

But in fairness to them, the last time many of them will have seen Milan play will have been at the same stage in the tournament last year. When United, frankly, slapped them around the pitch for two consecutive matches.

Thanks fishdoll. Very kind and much appreciated.

Just out of interest, are the pengins jealous of the flying donkeys?

Nah, the penguins are cool. A bit wild at parties, but generally they're all right.

The flying donkeys are at war with the chicken revolutionary army, however. Sometimes it gets bloody.

Oh, ick. Ash, you went onto a SPUDS forum? Do you need to be deloused now? You poor thing.

I usually have a little gander at opposition forums when Milan play them, my Italian's not great so it's usually only when they're of an English speaking descent!

The general idea there is we beat Inter so Milan are going to be pushovers, clowns.

They've been saying it for years and years, they said we were an ageing team when we won it at Old Trafford. In fact, bar Ray Wilkins and Ruud Gullit that's all anyone ever says about Milan on English TV. It's because they don't watch the league because they don't have ESPN and most of SkySports pundits knowledge is limited to the English/Spanish league, well Barca/Madrid.

I guess they completely forgot that bar Madrid we are the 2nd most successful in the European Cup/CL.

That's what I mean Bale is overhyped if he were foreign everyone would be saying, yeah he's good but where was he against Man U, Liverpool etc just like they did with other players like CR7. 2 good games against a full-back who doesn't want to play at the club does not make you world class. Bale doesn't particularly have any skill he just knocks the ball and runs, it should be easy to counteract if we are set-up right.

It's funny though, a few weeks ago Spurs were saying how good the Italian league is and the fact they beat Inter. Now it's suddenly gone to the Italian League is slow, boring, etc.

Welcome to MF.

That's the thing and our team is so different to then, in terms of management, players etc. It's easy to forget that during those games we struggled with injuries, I'm pretty sure Pato didn't play in either or if he did he was just returning from injury (from memory).

Strangely enough a goal.com writer makes some great points

I still don't understand how the rejected competition ie the UEFA Cup, gets clubs as many points for wins as the CL does, just ridiculous

Yes!!! Finally we got an easy opponent. I was starting to get sick with all the Arsenal's and ManU's and Madrid's.

To say they're easy is just as naive as them saying we're easy. It will be a tough match no doubt, I don't fancy us at theirs but if we can do well in the 1st leg we should be set.

Saying that spurs are easy and underestimate them is what made Inter loose against them. Don't be surprised if we trip at the 1/8 finals....Tottenham is a good team when you underestimate them that's the way it is....we need to be at our best and fittest
