One guy I have seen mentioned that I would also like is Miguel, great wing back and I feel he would be a good fit in this team.

I think that miguel will be one of the best defenders in about 2-3yrs from now. He's a good replacement for non-quiting old best 2, Cafu. I think that Zambrotta would be the perfect replacement with he's admirous display in the world cup.

It says on acmilan.com that Coppola probably won't stay. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I really hope Dalla Bona doesn't stay! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Wouldn't be upset at all if Vogel went too! No, we need Vogel. He's Pirlo's perfect substitute.

I mean, when Pirlo will need for a bit of rest or when he'll get injured, Vogel can replace him no problem.

Well yes defense-wise Vogel is very good maybe even better than Pirlo but attackingly he's nowhere near him ... You're probably right though cause I can't see Ancelotti letting Andrea play as he can ... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

You're right Vogel played good when he played in Rino's spot not Pirlo's, I don't know of any player that can play Pirlo's role the way he does he is irriplacable.

The only person I can compare Pirlo to would be Makalele, but at the same time he isn't even close to Pirlo's technical abilities.

There's no such thing as Pirlo's perfect substitute!

Isn't Makalele a DMF?? Pirlo isn't put in that position for nothing he creates plays from a deep role, hence the deep lying playmaker name he's given.

When he played for Inter as their attacking mid/playmaker he bombed big time, he couldn't even get a starting position in the first 11. Then when he came to Milan Carlo switched him to deep lying play maker role and that's where he made his name and people began to notice the potential and talent in him. Pirlo should definately stay where he is.

And by what Carlo said it could be an indication that we could be playing 4-5-1 next season with a DMF next to him to relieve him from all his defensive duties

Yea he is .. & Pirlo is exactly what u called him. The only dif between Pirlo and Makalele is that Pirlo is better technically (creative, hene he is considered a #10)

But from where he plays, he controls his area the way Makalele does. And that was the only comparison I ment

squad for milan next season 06-07? I think you're looking at it! We'll probably loan out Coppola and I'm hoping Dalla Bona will go for good and Donati won't come back. There's a lot of talent in the Primavera (at least there was last season) and this year some of them have to be incorporated into the squad, not sure how many though. Silvio doesn't seem to bring out his wallet anymore (apart from Gila last year) Oh well there's always January (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Sorry if it seems pessimistic but after the last 2 seasons I'm used to being disappointed.
