QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Sep 28 2010, 08:35 PM) FT 1-1.
Win your home games, draw your away games, and you're through. Job done so far. We don't have Zilina, Spartak and Marseille in our group, we have Real and Ajax, plus a no push over French team. It will take more then that. If we don't take at least 3 points from the Real games and Ajax win theirs we could be looking at elimination.

QUOTE (HasanHasanly @ Sep 28 2010, 08:36 PM) This was a very easy game, and all the guys had a great game. Allegri out before Christmas if he does not sort out his subs. Robinho was the single reason why this did not end 3-1. Those chances never would have come had it not been for his great off the ball runs. He's rusty in front of goal but he'll get that back. His overall play was good

So, here are some comments:
1) Seedorf can play AM IMO but, Ronaldinho still is better in this position. Trouble is, Milan lack of a typicall attacking midfielder who could perform constantly on a higher level. Van der Vaart was a golden oppotunity.
2) Milan cannot play efficiently with Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf and Ronaldinho starting all at once. It's a slow and passive midfield that cannot bring us more good the bad. Even when Dinho is benched, the trouble remains. Milan's only dynamic midfielders are Flamini and Boateng; Allegri should at least try out Strasser.
3) Allegri's hasitation to make subs. I mentioned this before - he's doing it again and again. Abate for Seedorf??? WTF? And giving Pippo 5 minutes, while it was obvious that the last 30+ minutes Robinho was lost and exhausted. Why doesn't he give a Pippo-Ibra duo more chances? And why does Ibra have to play every match from minute 1 to 90+?

QUOTE (Locke Lamora @ Sep 29 2010, 12:16 AM) FFS, a pro footballer is supposed to score those no matter how much match practise he has. QUOTE (Dracoris @ Sep 28 2010, 08:41 PM) You guys can slaughter me all you want, but I think Ronaldinho for Robinho or Seedorf around 70' and we win. Ronaldinho for Seedorf would have done the trick QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Sep 28 2010, 08:42 PM) So, here are some comments:

All the things we're lacking right now QUOTE (HasanHasanly @ Sep 28 2010, 08:42 PM) I guess the line between running like a headless chicken and " great off the ball runs" is very small indeed. It's bit different, Robinho was doing everything right, the spark was there, it wasn't running like a headless chicken because he knew what he was doing, that miss though was just atrocious!

Its very hard to adapt from a team like cagliari where you are used to defending against bigger teams or at least playing on even grounds to going to a team where every match you play has to be breaking down the great wall of china. It also doesn't help that he's always trying to play it on the safe side. His subs are typical, winger for winger, defender for defender, midfielder for midfielder. If he doensn't start taking risks and going for it, its going to cost him his job. The win is important, not who plays.

I like how you list reigning French Champions as if they're 'easy', then say Auxerre, who haven't won this season as 'no push over'. Unless we lose at home to Ajax, I can't see us going out now.
