We might have a chance without injuries to key players and with favourable draw in the knockout stage. But it's way too early to speculate about that.

I don't know, even the group stage looks tuff. Also, no international debutant coach has ever won the Champions League to my knowledge.

We'll pass the group easily, but I don't know how far we can go from there.

I wouldn't be so sure there... This is Mourinho's Real they will make it a lot tougher for us then last season, also the fact that we have Ajax and Auxerre both amongst the strongest in there respective pots.

If we make it through we'll most probably come in second, which would mean a strong first KO round opponent like last season

Last season we camed second only becouse of bad games and results against Zurich. I saw that Allegri is more serious than Leonardo and even against Auxerre will play with the best team, not like Leo did.

I predicted 2nd, but after Ibra's transfer I say we'll be 1st.

I think Ajax are a lightweight team and I don't consider Auxerre a potential threat. It's either us or Real for the first spot.

Lightweight teams are what we should fear, my friend. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Lightweight teams exactly. I am sure I don't need to remind you about Celtic, Marseille, Zürich and what not. Technically if we get 12 points off of the two As (Ajax and Auxerre) we should be fine even if we lose against Madrid. But that's all technicalities, after all, right?

All said and done these two are very potential threats, we may very well draw both matches against RM, but winning against these two minnows (if you call them) is absolutely vital for finishing first in the group. And nothing more important than finishing first if we want to progress in the tournament. For far too long we've finished 2nd and had to face a big team in the round of 16.

Besides, Ajax will probably be looking for Dida when they arrive in San Siro to beat him up for that last, last minute save in 2003 CL match. They didn't make the Champions League after that up till now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Boy I still don't get why that save doesn't get more recognition?!

Ronaldo will miss at least 3 weeks. Too bad our first CL game is not in Madrid - they didn't look good at all yesterday.

Yep, he played. Didn't look to be in the greatest of form either.

That said, Michael Laudrup is coaching Mallorca and he's a pretty good coach.
