AC MILAN, Borriello : "I could leave...."

After AC Milan's 4-0 win over Lecce, the Rossoneri's striker Marco Borriello (28) told reporters at San Siro stadium : "I could leave AC Milan before the transfer market shuts down on Tuesday evening. I am 28 years old and I am not keen on becoming a reserve now that the club officials have signed an additional forward (i.e. Zlatan Ibrahimovic). I heard the rumours about Juventus being interested in me. I say anything can happen, so let's wait and see .....".

Note : As recently reported here on Football Press, Borriello is indeed tracked by Juventus. Developments are expected between Monday and Tuesday.

Okay, so this is where I jump in and ask when last you watched Milan's games? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Who, me? Quite often, thank you. At any rate, often enough to know that our back line likes to be in shambles. If there's anything we need, it's Maldini and Jaap Stam back in their primes. That was truly the greatest back four we have ever (and probably will ever have) seen in Rossoneri kits.

Although not in most recent times, there has been a better backline and it consisted of:
Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta and Mauro Tassotti.

And FYI... it considered by many as the best Defence ever, not just in Milan!

I'm not to sure what to make of the Robinho rumors. I wouldn't really be against him coming but at the same time I don't want him at the expense of Boriello. I know he will not be the obvious starter anymore since Ibra has arrived, thats understood, but I would still like him in the team as I like his characteristics as a forward, and he'll make good back up. (then again... I guess it also depends on if he is willing to stay on as back up - as is being reported in news he isn't keen on the idea) *sigh*

Though, if we're able to buy more players why not a: WB, CB, or CM? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I guess it cuz they would be getting Binho at a (considered) knock off price. So...

Whatever happens, happens - Lets wait and see!

Yes, I know Dida is gone, I was suggesting we bring him back. I know he's inconsistent, but from how he played against Panathinaikos in Detroit, Abby isn't any better.

Okay, maybe the back line has been a bit better than what I said, but Maldini is still the heart and soul of Milan. If we had him from a few years ago, we wouldn't have such an upstart Captain. Ambro can never, ever replace Paolo, Armband or no. Pirlo is the closest one we have to a true leader for Milan, and as I said, Zambrotta and even Gatusso would be better for the Captaincy than Ambro.

Maybe we should pick up Sergio Ramos... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dreamyeyesf.gif)

First off... please explain how Zambrotta would ever qualify as a captain contender at Milan?

Secondly, Dida's time at Milan was as good as over...

As was Maldini's and hence when he chose to hang up his boots.

Would you have honestly still liked him on the field? ...Because I can recall a serious lack in his pace, & his knee problems, which the in latter (most recent) years of his career caused him to be somewhat embarrassed by players that should only dream of getting past him.

I fail to see how Maldini still playing would help us?

Sergio Ramos is overrated as a Defender at best. IMO.

Been reading reports and what journalists have had to say these last few days and what berlu said today just confirms it.

I'm 99% sure he'll arrive. I think i'm going to say it now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

WELCOME TO MILAN ROBINHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you really feel that confident that he will arrive?

I just wish we could have had more of a balance in the side. Don't get me wrong though, this is obviously WAY better than last year, so don't take my statements of concern to be that of complaining.

I just think our bigger area of concern wasn't quite addressed as it should have been.

*Fingers Crossed* - That our Starting 11 doesn't get injury set backs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
