ON THE LIKELIHOOD OF SIGNING A MIDFIELDER:
“I'm not going to name names. I need a sixth midfielder, who can play infield and I believe we'll sign one.”

So say we sign VDV. That still leaves our EU spot open. Galliani said that signing Honda was very difficult because of the new non-EU ruling. We have a spot open, so why is it difficult? Who was he looking at at that time to make it difficult? Could the new mid be a non-EU?

If we sign VDV there's no point in signing Honda. I'd sign us a fullback instead.

Agreed.

But could the mid be Hernanes? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

I read Hernanes is this close to signing for Lazio. And I'd choose VDV over Hernanes either way.

Well Hernanes is a box to box mid and VdV is an AM, and imo we need a box to box guy more then an AM

So these are the boys who are gonna graduate directly into the first team if they can right?

Man...that's a lot of transfers.

I think I saw that a couple of them are going directly back out on loan, not sure (will look tomorrow, it's late and I am a tired fish).

Yup (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) We seem to have bought a youth system. If these kids prove their potential we'll have a very powerful team.

Verdi
Strasser
Baretta
Zigoni
Santonocito
Fossati
Desole
Oudamadi
albertazzi
darmian
de vito

are all highly rated. The one's bolded are touted as some of the best youth in europe.

Inter have sold destro, fossati and desole, their 3 biggest youth products. It seems us and Juve will have Italy's future.

Fossatti I would rank top 5 youth CM in europe right now. He is the next Pirlo. Inter were very stupid to sell him to us, but I guess they couldn't help it since the player wanted to return. We'd paid a hefty fine for him too, 7m (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

It's not the first time Inter will be selling someone to us, for him to turn into someone really good. 7 million..geez! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Oh you can't even begin to imagine jack. This is like barca selling madrid xavi or iniesta at the age of 18.
