^^^ LOL! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE (han2503 @ Jul 4 2010, 10:04 PM) Between Diego and Pastore I'd probably choose Diego, taking into account who Pastore plays for only that's a major turn off (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Plus when I've seen him he's never really impressed. Maybe I'm a Pastore jinx and he plays bad whenever I happen to watch (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Otamendi was awful for Argentina on the right. He was torn apart against Germany not to mention the horrible marking that resulted in Muller's goal. Imo we should stay in Italy for the defensive transfers Not to mention we don't normally sign an Argie... I don't have a preference here, but signing Diego seems much more realistic to me. I think he's great.

QUOTE (Linkman @ Jul 4 2010, 07:59 PM) I can see him working well with Dinho though, I'd think more of him as a natural replacement to Seedorf. If we played a 4-2-3-1 system then yes that would be awsome. But with Pirlo a system with just 2 mids wouldn't really work as that would require 2 pure ball winners, thus leaving Pirlo out of the equation, which to me is unthinkable

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jul 4 2010, 07:12 PM) Diego can only play as a support striker like Kakà did when we won the Champions League in 2007, or at maximum as a trequartista behind two strikers. Asking him to play as the third man in midfield would be like asking Favalli to play in attack. Besides, he failed miserably at Juventus this season, so I see no point in signing him. He was painfully overrated and proved such thing. At Juve it wasn't him it was the entire team, the system they played, and the position he was played in. He started out having a great season, but then he faded along with the rest of the team. The Juve fans were constantly complaining about Diego not being played in his position bla bla. Plus I've seen him play for Werder and Brazil and everytime he's been nothing short of great, let's not forget how he tore us apart in the UEFA Cup a couple of seasons ago as well

At Jube he was out of position. The coach failed, if anything.

At Jube he was out of position. The coach failed, if anything. That depends on who the wingers are. If they sacrifice themselves on account of the squad (Eto'o and Pandev) then yes, that would work. But if the wingers care only about attacking (Pato and Ronaldinho), then playing Diego (who has absolutely no defensive mentality) in line with them would lead to a very unbalanced line-up.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jul 4 2010, 05:11 PM) Actually, we could sign Yepes and Pastore regardless of their status. The rule doesn't apply to footballers moving in the same league. Since Pastore already plays for Palermo, it wouldn't be a problem. Yepes also moved in the same league. He probebly has a EU pasport but what if he doesnt have one? Does that rule also apply then (that we still can buy a non-EU player)??
