Well this blows, but it gives a much needed slap in the face to some who were already dreaming about a Dzeko-Krasic pairing while dismissing our best attacking performers from last season.

Fact is there is no blockbuster buy for us, not now, and not ever unless Silvio sells up. He is not going to spend money on transfers, from the jist of what he keeps saying, he's only putting in cash to keep us above the red every year nothing more nothing less.

So lets just be happy that we actually have some class players in the squad and pray that we don't lose them not want to throw them out like yesterday's left overs...

Pirlo, Pato, Dinho, Thiago, Bori, Nesta. They're all great players who at this moment in time I'm only worrying if they'll still be our players come next season, not how many big money moves we'll make

Edited that post, Pato and Thiago are 2 of the players that could get us good money, money that would never go into rebuilding but into relieving Silvio of clearing our depths from his own pockets, just like he did with the Kaka money

As i hear about the massive debt Barca, Real, Inter, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea have amassed, i kind of like the fact we are 10-15M away from being debt free

A 28 years old player is not a finished player. Dzeko is still not a champion and I wouldn't risk +40 on him to be honest.

But he isn't in form now and he's getting old, Dzeko is young talent and he has more to do.

Ibrahimovic is king of Serie A. Everyone gets old, its a law of the nature. Ibrahimovic is 28 and he can play 4 more seasons without a problem. I don't really understand whats the problem of all of you but you must understand that he is one of the best strikers in the world nowdays. AND he didn't fail in Barcelona he just wasn't as good as that Ibrahimovic who played in Inter and Juve.
This season he played in 29 games he scored 16 goals and made 7 assists.

Dzeko, because I wouldn't want to make Ibra's boyfriend mad. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/96.gif) And becaues of the many reasons stated above about Ibra being a total barstid.

i would take ibra in a F****** second! yes dzeko is the better choice but ibra could be amazing with an attack of ronnie and Pato, i get butterflies just thinking about it. now we just need a new option in midfield and we would have achieved the bare minimum in this mercato. I truly don't believe we are that bad off with the squad we have. I strongly believe with 1 year under their belts, abate and antonini would fair better

It's just a rumour about Dzeko guys... I remember sources say Dzeko is Milan's for 99% sure and now they say the same thing about ManCity signing him.

Ibra will never come, just forget about it.

At this point, I think it'd be best if we set aside the idea of big spenditures for good and concentrate on aquring a few decent players in every position. Otamendi and Aogo in defense, Moussa Sissoko and/or Lazzari in midfield, and probably Nenê in attack.

Like mtl said, we don't have that horrible of a first line-up, it's the substitutes what we essentially lack. If we get rid of garbage like Oddo, Kaladze, Jankulovski etc. and sign the players I mentioned above, we should be good at least for another season (good meaning getting in the league top 3 and passing the CL group stage).

Yep, and at the end of next year a whole bunch of really expensive player contracts expire. So perhaps THEN we might see something a little more significant.

For 4 years we've been waiting to see something significant with regards to transfers for this side...

Instead its has been filled with disappointment and departures of our best players & some promising stars.
